NeverDead will clearly have a hard time convincing players that it's worth buying at full price. Not that it's a terrible game, but it's not really a good game either. The combat system works rather well overall, with experience points you can spend on to purchase new abilities. These abilities can't all be used at the same time as they take a certain number of slots in the hero's inventory, which means you have to learn to change skills depending on the situation. The dismemberment feature seems promising at first but you will quickly realize that it is not used to its full potential (in other words, you end up doing the same things all the time) and that it mainly serves as a way to make your life harder during fights. In the end, this is one of these game you play and quickly forget about. There is a bit of fun to it, but also some frustration and awkwardness. Here are 6 videos for you to see what to expect.
