After the nine minutes spent in company of Fifa 11 a few days ago, here comes now a new challenger, PES 2011. Today, we are giving you a full Champions League match opposing Manchester United to Lyon. Since I just got a copy of the game and I have been playing Fifa for the past few years, I did not have time to get used to the new gameplay of Konami's title. That's one of the reasons I had to capture some footage in normal mode, along with the fact that what you see here was really my first match. One last thing before I forget, the version we are showing here was captured on Xbox 360, contrary to what the official sponsors you see around the pitch seem to indicate. Funny, isn't it?

After our Fifa video we had of course to also take a look at PES 2011, so here comes a video :)

You may have already heard that PES 2011 will get a beta so some happy-few can give a try at the new Master League Online. If you want to have access to it, you can try your luck right here, but until you can really see if Konami is back in the game this year, here is a video interview of the famous Seabass.

Konami finally seems to have realized how far behind the PES series had been lately compared to FIFA and released these images and this long video showing a lot of the new functionalities and fixes in PES 2011.

Soccer World Cup is occuring in this period but soccer game PES 2011 will be out this fall, in the meantime here are a trailer and five screens.

Konami has published these first screens and renders of PES 2011. Players and stadiums models still seem to be top-notch, but what about the gameplay revolution promised by Seabass as every year? We'll have to wait until this Autumn in Europe to get the answer.

It's not really a surprise to see that Konami just announced the release this Autumn of PES 2001 on Xbox 360, PS3, PC, PSP, Wii and PS2. This new release is said to be the most radical revamp of the series' history, let's hope it's true. Trailer inside.
