You may have already heard that PES 2011 will get a beta so some happy-few can give a try at the new Master League Online. If you want to have access to it, you can try your luck right here, but until you can really see if Konami is back in the game this year, here is a video interview of the famous Seabass.
Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (3 Weeks ago)
Loakum By FAR, the upcoming Game of Thrones King’s Road was the Game of the Show! It plays like God of War Ragnarok! :) (5 Weeks ago)
Loakum @Driftwood Awesome! I’m loving it! It does show a much crisper picture and the frame rate looks good! I was playing Stella Blade and Dragonball Soarkling Blast! :) (10 Weeks ago)

I used to be an outright PES fan (back when it was untouchable), but now I'm just a football fan; whichever game is the best is the one I'll buy.
It's true that PES 2011 looks better this year but that gameplay and animations still need a lot more work to make me consider going back. On a side note, I still play with the PES button layout just in case I have to go back some day.
I remember the days of Winning Eleven 8, damn that game was good.
But to be quite blunt: I don't have any hopes at all for PES anymore.
Man I wish 2kGames would give me a football game as good as their NBA2K games. With signature moves, where you can tell at once, just from the way a player moves with ball, who it is.
And I mean every player, not just Shaq&LeBron.
But I guess that's not happening.
Ever.

They just missed to jump on the next gen train. Although it's sugarcoated with prettier textures and such, you just see that it's main chassis, the whole game engine, is still extremly similar, or to be more drastic, is built ontop of the last gen engine.
This is especially obvious if you catch a glimpse of the PS2 iterations of PES. The animations and physics are basically the same (except for running with less FPS) as the next gens' ones.
But on the other hand I also have to say: Memories are often prettier than the facts.
Me and my friends have gotten better in playing PES and finding and exploiting game glitches and "easy" strategies.
I betcha that if you or me played PES 5 now for 3 weeks straight, we would find more flaws in the gameplay and "easy" stragies than we found back then.
