GSY Video Xbox One

After our PS4 videos of Resident Evil 6, we can now show you some videos captured on Xbox One. This new remake in Capcomian history remains technically acceptable, are wondering if this sixth installment has a chance to appeal to you, you can now watch the full prologue, once again thanks to the Xbox network.

Just like its zombies, Resident Evil 6 is back from the dead for PS4 and Xbox One owners who might have gotten scared because of the technical issues of both PS3 and Xbox 360 versions at the time of their release. Now in smooth 60 fps, the game becomes as playable as the PC port, but don't expect any other improvements. The reviews were not kind with this sixth installment back when it was released, despite some generous and ambitious content. The 3 campaigns were not equally interesting, Leon's adventure clearly being the best of all 3. If you want to refresh your memory, check out our videos of the PS4 version and let us know if this new port has a chance to make the game more appealing to you now.

Trailer PS4 Xbox One

Capcom has just announced that Resident Evil 6 will hit PS4 and Xbox One on March 29, while Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 4 will hit those platforms this Summer and this Fall respectively.

The PC version of Resident Evil 6 was released a couple of weeks ago and we finally found a bit of time to capture a few gameplay videos of the game. We decided to focus on the beginning of Leon's campaign only, so you'll be able to compare it with its console counterpart. The PC port is quite lazy overall but at least the game runs smoothly at 60 frames per second. As for the game itself, it has the same pros and cons than the 360/PS3 version, so it really depends on whether or not you're ready to accept its flaws.

Trailer PC

Capcom and Valve are pleased to announce with a video, the Resident Evil 6 x Left 4 Dead 2 project. This crossover project will see characters from Left 4 Dead 2 featured exclusively in the forthcoming PC version of Resident Evil 6, while enemies from Resident Evil 6 will invade the PC version of Left 4 Dead 2. All content will be made available completely free for fans of either game to access and play.

Resident Evil 6 will finally arrive on PC next month and Capcom released a couple of gameplay videos of this supposed superior version. Oddly enough (or maybe not), the Japanese publisher chose to promote this port with 720p/30fps videos.

Trailer Xbox 360

Capcom has announced the first wave of add-on for Resident Evil 6. Three multiplayer modes (Predator, Survivors and Onslaught) are coming on Xbox Live on December 18th for 320MSP each or 720MSP as a bundle. Screens, trailers and details after the jump.

First 10 minutes PC Xbox 360 PS3

After Resident Evil 5, Capcom had to prove they could bring the franchise to the same level as the best third person shooters out there. Resident Evil 6 was supposed to be the proof of the pudding, but unfortunately it fails in most departments. Technically first, it is a disappointment, especially compared to the previous game. Everything is so dark you can't see a thing, textures are terrible and framerate is still rather low. Gameplay-wise, it plays better than before but it is still far behind the likes of Gears of War and Uncharted. The cover system is a pain in the neck, aiming is not precise enough and overall, it all feels dated. Atmosphere is still pretty good though, provided you accept to see a lot of common places. This sixth episode is then not what we hoped it would be, and though it still can be a fun game to play, we're not sure that's enough for a Resident Evil game.

Here is the TGS trailer of Resident Evil 6. While the demo didn't please everyone we'll know about the whole game quality very soon as the title will be out in a week.
