Here is the TGS trailer of Resident Evil 6. While the demo didn't please everyone we'll know about the whole game quality very soon as the title will be out in a week.

Ugh, unless they do something drastic about the control and camera, this is dead to me. Abysmal and inexcusable nowadays, imo. The AI is total crap- they're doesn't seem to be any sound awareness at all, so it doesn't make you be careful with your shots.

Blech, feels old and clunky with some of the worst textures I've seen in a long time...

Demo was terrible. Chris section especially. Leon was bearable, but still pretty crap. The cover system is ass, and the red dot aim floating about randomly is one of the most retarded things i've ever seen in a game. And to top it all off it looks significantly worse then RESI5...WTF?

I watched yesterday stream from Leon campaign and have to say the enemy and boss design are ace. Shame there are too many crappy design decisions, which turns me off this game.
Probably will pick it up just for the Leon and Ada campaigns when the price drops.

The best way to sum up the Resident Evil 6 demo is with a old saying: "If you try to please every one you end up pleasing no one." This demo tried to please the call of duty, dead space, and gears of war crowd, but end up making a poorly structured mess! For starters why in the hell it takes 8 bullets TO THE HEAD to kill a zombie, but I can kill it with three melee punches? It's the end of this gen's console cycle, why the graphics looks considerably worse than Resident Evil 5? Why don't Capcom listen to their gamer base, and make RE a survival horror game, instead of a tired "michael bay-ish action game? Capcom is making the same mistake with Resident Evil as Square Enix is with it's Final Fantasy games! They steered too far from their winning formula, alienating their longstanding fanbase consumers in the process.

THANK YOU! I agree wholeheartedly! I tried the demo and the only good thing is leon's campaign but the enemies are the dumbest thing I have ever seen!!!

Thought that was strange myself, Most of the time it's 1 hit to the head and Zombie is dead, every now and then it takes 2 or 3 max which i put down to bad hit detection.

It should be always one shot to teh head and thats it, if they have some sort of helmet you can pass 2 but 8?

Thats really bad design, like really really bad.

Punches do more damage than bullets? Are Capcom still in their 8-bit way of designing things? I remember playing NES games with that kind of logic 20 fucking years ago, and they're still at it? LOL I have to try this for myself. Sounds as ridiculously designed as I imagined it would be.

I was really open to this game before the demo. I even played Leon's part so I could get what I thought would be the best part. Unfortunately just moving around was an exercise in frustration. The camera is too close to not be attached to the character, imo. That and the most uninteresting and clunky design add up to a big X from me. I didn't even try the other characters, because if it controlled that bad for the "slow" part, I can't imagine the irritation of playing a more action oriented sequence. yuck. Maybe I'll try the other bits just because I want to like it...

No we aren't. It's perfectly simple: don't fuck with the formula that made your franchise so successful in the first place. Add to it, but never change it to the point where fans won't recognise it. Although I can hardly blame them either. For some mad reason, watered down, arcade style actiony nonsense sells these days. Rinse and repeat. All devs and genres follow suit.

I was shocked while playing Chris´s campaign demo. It felt like a Call of Duty. That was one of the most disappointing moments in my gamer life! Capcom should leave military shooters to Craptivision and EvilArts.
A survival horror game with Resident Evil tag would still shift a ton of copies. Like everyone is craving for such a game but Capcom does not listen at all.

Thanx peeps. I can see many of you share my frustrations about the directions RE6 has taken. Sadly, I doubt Capcom is gonna learn it's lesson, because I feel RE6 is gonna sale large numbers, based on pre order figures. Not to mention there are just a hand full of AAA titles for the remainder of the year.

I probably would have been fine if the control and camera didn't make me want to chuck my controller. Action horror is fine as long as it's handled well, and this isn't. I don't think having decent control is too much to ask in a game. Especially for the pacing. That should be friggin' base line. RE 5 controlled better, and it wasn't exactly Gears either. That and it's just brainless. This series should sell you on the atmoshpere alone, but when you are stumbling like a dork over zombies on the floor that don't react to your bullets until they "activate", it kinda kills it. Crap :(
