It's hard to forget how big of a failure the release of Star Wars: Battlefront II was with all the fiasco surrounding the lootboxes. Thankfully, DICE worked a lot to fix everything that was wrong, adding new free content ever since the game's launch, up until this week as one last planet has been added this week. Scarif will actually be the last update Battlefront II will get, but still, it's nice to see how far this title has come. Today though, we're focusing on the barely average single player campaign to bring you your daily dose of HDR. A good reminder of the game's very nice visuals and terrible AI.

We were able to unlock Star Wars Battlefront II in advance, which is sort of a first with EA, so we have prepared a few more videos, mostly taken from the single player campaign. Just be aware that there are potential spoilers which, considering the game's very short length, should not be taken too lightly. The campaign is clearly not as good as we were hoping when it was first announced, but it's a tad better than what the first 3 missions led us to believe. That being said, for an average experience which will not last more than 5 hours, with a very unsatisfying ending, we can't recommend this game if you're only interested in its single player aspect. The arcade mode offers a bit more content for lonely players, but it's not that interesting to fight against bots in the end. Multiplayer is definitely more exciting though, if it weren't for its lootbox system which could make this sequel a pay-to-win game. Let us know what you think in the comments, as we are truly curious to know what you will think of this "new" trend.

Driftwood hasn't been particularly convinced by the few missions of the single player campaign of Star Wars Battlefront II available for EA Access subscribers. It is now time to show you some Xbox One X 4K videos of the essential part of the game: the multiplayer. Of course our legendary skills are in action in the following footage. :)

While Need for Speed Payback hasn't really managed to convince the press, another big EA game is about to be released. Star Wars Battlefront II has been available on EA Access (Xbox and PC) since yesterday and we have captured some Xbox One X footage of the single player campaign. Only 3 chapters are proposed at the moment, and so far it's mediocre at best. Image quality is great, with detailed textures and clean graphics overall, but when it comes to gameplay, it is a very generic title whose story doesn't seem particularly appealing. We truly hope the rest of the campaign can prove us wrong, but for the moment, there is no reason to be interested in Battlefront II if multiplayer isn't your thing. Not a surprise some will say, but optimistic as we are, we believe that making bad single player mode should not become usual for a big company like EA.

We were also fortunate to be able to capture Star Wars Battlefront II on PS4, and it is with great pleasure that we can show you these 2 direct feed videos.

Star Wars Battlefront II is on Sony's booth and I could film a complete game played by someone who knew how to play the game.
