The new DLC for The Crew has been available for a couple of days, so we have prepared a few gameplay videos recorded on PC. The main idea is here to give players the possibility to play cops and robbers together, which is potentially fun in multiplayer, but failed to entertain us much in the newly added missions we played co-op. It is true however that the chase sequences have never truly been dear to our hearts in the main game, which might explain why the addition of a few gadgets to stop the targets (or to escape the cops) has left us a bit cold for now. The most disappointing part maybe is that the game still suffers from heavy stuttering because of a streaming bug of the engine when playing at 60 fps. What we have always liked about the game are the long road trips it allows, and sadly, the framerate issues (no matter what settings you are using) can be really frustrating.

Calling All Units, the second major expansion for The Crew is now available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The new content brings a new storyline and 12 new missions in which players will take the road as elite cop Clara Washington or as a street racer. The Crew Ultimate Edition is also available it contains the main game, Season Pass' DLCs and both expansions Wild Run and Calling All Units.

A new expansion for The Crew is coming November 29, it's called Calling All Units and you can get a glimpse with the teaser and screens after the jump. Also coming at the same date is the Ultimate Edition of the game which contains as you can guess the base game plus every extra content.

Ivory Tower and Ubisoft have decided to offer a two-hour trial of The Crew on Xbox One and PS4. For those who already have the title, a vintage car pack including a Chevrolet Corvette C2 and C3 and Spyker C8 Aileron and a new PvP mode will be available too. Don't lose time, you only have two days.

Although not flawless on many aspects, The Crew is getting new content with the January car pack included in the game's Season Pass. Three new cars will be added to all those who purchased it: the Aston Martin V12 Zagato, the 2013 SRT Viper GTS and the rather underwhelming Abarth 500. Nothing too exciting compared to the cars that are available in the original game, especially since these three cars are just as limited as all the others in terms of specs. Indeed, only one spec is available for the Aston Martin and the Viper (Perf) and two for the Abarth (Street and Perf). Let us remind you that this kind of limitation was one of the game's major disappointment since only the very first cars you can buy when starting the game can be upgraded in all the five available specs. Driving around the US is still quite enjoyable, but all the improvements and corrections the community has been asking aren't there yet. After just a month since its release, it's quite normal in a way, but if Ivory Tower wants to keep players interested in the long run, the French team really needs to crank it up a notch. Check out our new homemade video of the PC version showing all three new cars in their available specs.

Last but not least, the Xbox One version of The Crew finally got to us thanks to the Xbox Network that sent us a code earlier today. As you'll see, there is a bit more aliasing than on PS4 (and a lot more than on PC obviously) but even so, the game still has a lot to offer in terms of pretty landscapes. Ivory Tower's first title is by no means perfect, it could look a lot sharper and have fewer issues, but we can't help but love the long and very atmospheric drives we have experienced since it was released on December 2.

We've been playing The Crew for about 5 days now and so far, we really like the game despite its shortcomings. Our main grudge is with the fact that earning money isn't that easy, which makes investing in expensive cars quite complicated, especially considering that some of them don't have access to most of the specs. Paying a lot of money for a car that will not be versatile enough suddenly becomes an issue as a result, and since no cars are ever offered to the player, it means that you'll have to save your precious money and possibly grind a lot to be able to buy more cars. It is true that the main idea of the game is to have you keep your ride and upgrade it, but you're bound to want more than your first choice. Also, it's a shame that the engine can barely be heard when using the hood or cockpit views as it makes driving in manual gear more complicated than it should (as you'll hear with the clutch problems we've had). That being said, if what you're after is an enjoyable journey through the US with friends, rest assured that you'll have plenty to do and a lot of fun doing it (apart from the chase missions that is).
Update Two videos added.

Before the French Livestream we did yesterday, we just had a bit of time to capture some PC videos of The Crew, all of them being set at the very beginning of the game, in the Saint Louis area. It's clearly not the best looking environment, but it will at least give you a pretty good idea of the game's visuals in ultra settings. More videos will come as soon as we can, but you'll need to be a bit patient. Also, we apologize for not making an English livestream this time, but it's not always easy to please everyone and we really couldn't handle two livestreams yesterday.
Update: We've added 3 videos showcasing new cars or specs, among which a powerful RUF - quite the beast to tame.

After showing you the PC version of The Crew, it is now time to check what the PS4 one looks like. It is obviously a bit less sharp, mainly because of the aliasing but it is still good enough to enjoy the ride. We hope to be able to get you some Xbox One footage by the end of the week, if the Xbox Network can send us a code.
