GSY Video PC PS4 Xbox One

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter took its time to reach Xbox One but it will finally be available on Microsoft's console on January 19. Since we got our hands on a review build and we're not tied by any embargo, here are a few videos captured on Xbox One X in different resolutions (4K/1440p/1080p) with unlimited framerate. It is however possible to lock the framerate at 30 frames per second in all 3 resolutions. Strangely enough though, when we tested the locked framerate option, the game seemed to be locked at 32 instead of 30. In 1080 and 1440p and the unlocked framerate option, it seems pretty steady from what we've seen.
Note: All our videos were captured in free roam mode.

Now that we can record compressed 4K/HDR videos with our newly aquired Shogun Inferno, we had to make sure lossless capture would finally be possible with Amarec. We installed a faster SSD and it did the trick, as proven by the following videos. To show you that Gamersyde is now perfectly ready to reach new horizons, what better games than Forza Horizon 3 running at 60 fps on PC (ultra settings but no MSAA) and Horizon: Zero Dawn running at 30 fps on PS4 Pro.
Update: We've just added a video of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter.
Update 2: A small taste of Alan Wake in 4K.

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter was released yesterday on PS4 and we can show you a few minutes of gameplay footage, with more to come tomorrow. The game is now running on Unreal Engine 4 and while it looks quite nice the performance on PS4 could have been better, especially during fast camera movements.
Update - 3 videos added.

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter ran a bit late yesterday but it was finally released on Steam durring the night and we can now propose two videos we quiclky captured this morning. We'll need more time to forge ourselves an opinion on the game, but the beginning is mesmerizing to say the least. The forest we wander in looks so real it feels as if you could actually get lost. More to come later, but don't be too impatient, I've been sick for a few days now and the end of the week has not made it any easier on me. Stay tuned!
Update: Added two videos.
Update 2: Added two new videos: Investigation and Events.

Announced in February 2013 by indie studio The Astronauts, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is finally showing itself with these first in-game screens. In this first-person perspective game, the player controls an occult detective named Paul Prospero who has the ability to visualize the final moments of any murdered person. With beautiful landscapes and macabre mood, the player has to find clues in order to find out what happened to the vanished boy. No precise release date, the team also hope to bring it onto next-gen consoles.
