Seen them about aweek ago and I was too impressed with the screens, the only real thing that impressed me was the Blue cars damaged paint-work textures...

I hope it's better than revenge...I hated the whole smash into cars that are traveling in the same direction, it was so boring!

I never got to play the latest "revenge" Burnout. There's not crash junctions?

The textures on the cars just don't look right... Or is it the mapping?
Defenitivly have to see that in motion.

Also hoping this is more than just a graphics improvement. The gameplay took a serious nose dive in revenge on the xbox. Races were too easy, crash junctions lost some of the precision needed in takedown.

I just hope the game won't be as buggy as the original Burnout Revenge. I fracking hate it, when you race, crash, and are reset right before a wall ... which you then directly bump into, because you're still invulnerable due to the reset. Because you are stuck right in front of the wall and have to go into reverse, back out of the corner and accellerate again... without ANY chance whatsoever to win anymore.

Oh, and I HATED the rubberband AI prevalent in all of the Burnout games. You can race on like a madman, permaboosting, gathering speed where you can, driving perfect laps... but the AI cars are placed right behind you and you have no chance to outrace them. On the other hand, when you mess up, you have bad chances of ever catching up with them.

Ah, I forgot the car system ... what's up with that? You rarely need the new cars and in the middle of the game, the AI races with every damn car in the game, even the High End ones. By putting extra effort in the game, getting Gold everywhere to unlock as many cars as possible, you don't get ANY advantages... because you don't get any bonus, anything the AI doesn't already have. This is pure frustration.

What else... hmmm... I didn't like the game being so easy. But it's an EA game, and EA says that anybody must be able to win their games. So started with Burnout 3, you have no real challenges anymore. In Revenge, you get boost through farting on the couch, so while in previous games you had to work for boost and handle the speed precisely, you rarely release the boost button now... and never touch the brakes. Arcade racing is alright, but this is an insult.

The original XBox game was nice, because of the crash junctions and the setting. Driving and intentional crashes are teh win! But the game cheats on you bigtime and when you fail, you rarely fail because you messed up, but because the game cheated. Or was bugged. Or whatever. Maybe it's just me, but I don't get any really good feelings of achievement in this installation of the game.

And I doubt the XBox 360 version will be any different.

Hello jaggies, it's 2xFSAA (as in PGR3). 4xFSAA (as in NFS:MW) is sooo much better, it can give that smooth filmlike quality to graphics.

But at least it is 720p and not 600p like in PGR3.

Great images, the scratched paint work could do with some bump mapping to add some depth to it, and it seems a little strange to have a cars paint work like that without the car actually physically damaged, still looks like alot of fun though.

The car models look improved but the scenery doesn't look much better. Just hi res textures but no real geometry increase. Also some textures look like they're borrowed from NFS:MW.

I liked Burnout Revenge on the Xbox, but I don't think I'll be buying this.

It *IS* Burnout Revenge, and I am really looking forward to it. If you didn't like it on Xbox, you won't like this either, as they are largely the same.

Looks like a simple port to me, a few upgrades here and there but nothing next gen. Well, the tires look really nice, not the rims the rubber only, but that's about it.

A simple Port. HDTV, better Car Models, new Explosions, all right.
But lets face it: Still looks the same like the first polished screenshots of ps2 and xbox versions. Worth 360s Power? Hell no.
Criterion should do a true Next-Gen Burnout 5 instead.
