To me the best part is the whole "pirate" theme, not many games are focusing that in display (well except Escape from monkey island ).

He shot 3 times in a row with 2 1shot flintlock pistols... that's meh. And the shipfights look like a 30ies piratemovie saber duell. Fast forwarded. :/ Had high hopes in this, but this is too much arcade for me. Nice Grafics, though.

As opposed to the usual high caliber simulation experience that the Assassins Creed games offer?

:D

I think they may be about two version away from merging into the Splinter Cell era, only in white clothes.

I've never played an AC game, but this does look excellent. What is promising about how this looks is that it's being developed for current and next gen, and much like Watchdogs, it's not fully taking advantage of next gen hardware as it's not built specifically for those platforms, but the hike in visual quality is very apparent in the models and especially the water.

I only played the first one so far, and beside it was repetitive, to easy and a littlebit boring, it seemed not to be that much arcade as this one. The Ship chase was just too much. But this is just my oppinion. Nobody has to share it ;)

Altair could jump from the top of a cathedral and land safely in a haystack. ^^

And sitting with his head down could make him invisible to the guards. ;)

I am pretty sure none of the launch titles for the next gen are "fully" taking advantage of the hardware. I get what you're saying though, and I do agree as the water especially looks amazing. Only thing that really keeps me from getting too excited is just that, they are trying to make it for as many consoles as they can. that has been my problem with AC games since after the 2nd one came out; they try to get it out as fast as they can and on as many consoles as they can when basically the whole series has become a giant copy and paste.

now I see here that this is much different than the 3rd and that is really cool to finally see the game making progress, but it is still trying to get out on every console they can to squeeze as much money as possible from the game. I cant help but feel disappointed as the first 2 were original, but now it seems like it is turning into Halo.

I am sure this game will turn out fun as usual though, but I'll be more excited once Assassins Creed 5 comes out. yes, yes I will be.
