Very colorful, though I wish that Rare had taken this engine and used it for a Conker sequel instead. Their last two games were geared towards the kiddies (Kameo and Viva Pinata) so I thought that would make a more adult oriented one for a change of pace.

Kameo may have looked childish, but it was certainly fun. Second only to Condemned for the best launch title.

Kameo and Viva Pinata didn't really push the 'kiddie' angle too far. Only if you're really sensitive to that sort of thing (probably a young teen) would it bother you. Not nearly as bad as say, watching Cartoon Network or many Nintendo games.

Where are the guys who worked on Banjo & Kazooie and Banjo & Tootie? This looks a far cry from the platform hoot that the franchise was.

Rare,

Since the founders left you and also the minds spinning the wheels behind every I.P ever released by Rare, you have stooped low... very low... to the level of imagination dearth off fantasy.

Kameo was the last game that had vestiges of what Rare used to be.

Farewell.

It barely looks like a platfomer anymore, its more a build your own racer.

Im seriously disappointed with this, I was hoping for something like Jak and Daxter to be honest, seamless levels and a huge world, yet we get to fly around a bubble and make vechicles, oh the joy !!

It isn't a racer. Read the previews, watch the other videos. Platforming and exploration in vehicles is still platforming and exploration.

I agree, it's completely different, but that's a large reason of why I like it. Traditional games always have a nice 'comfy' feel, and you know what to expect out of them, but I'm glad Rare is doing this concept, which I think is really cool.

BTW, sorry for the caps last post, I was just making a point.

[edit : also, like said above it's way more than a racer. I imagine it will be very cool to get say, a propeller, or jet and think of the new areas you can explore and ways you can set up the vehicle to use those items, will be awesome.]

I'm not sure how well a "traditional platformer" would hold up against SMG, I like this new direction, if its a platformer in the sense you have to find parts and stuff, then AWESOME.

Its not just a racing game, its like Banjo Platformer + Super Mario Kart + Twisted Metal + Forza :P

Sorry, but these kind of comments were understandable when we only had a handful of leaked images, but now you're just being plain ignorant. Try reading some of the articles, or hell, watch a couple of the previews. Not only does the game look amazing, but even with the emphasis on vehicles, there isn't anything even remotely resembling a race.
