The sad news has just been announced, Batman: Arkham Knight is postponed to June 23. Rocksteady and Warner Bros. try to apologize with this long gameplay video and a short message explaining the reasons for the delay.
Batman: Arkham Knight will now launch worldwide on June 23, 2015. We're a developer that hates to make any compromises, so we are sorry to say this means it's going to be just a little bit longer until you can play the epic conclusion to the Arkham trilogy. As a reward for your patience and understanding, and to make the wait even more unbearable, we are pleased to whet your appetite with a new gameplay video of Batman: Arkham Knight.
Thanks so much from everyone at Rocksteady for your continued support. We are working as hard as we can to make you proud.

I just finished Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate yesterday and it was a very great game, was hooked on untill I finished, then immediately went back for a 2nd playthrough.
I really recommend it for anyone who likes 2D-3D action adventure games like Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Super Metroid, Ori and the Blind Forest, and Guacamelee!.
get it...the witcher 3 is made by CD Projekt Red...ok, I'll sit in my time out corner.

Definitely UE3 though, graphically it's not much different to Arkham Orgins on PC, just has a ton more DOF.

And the visual effects were mind blowing, specially the mud in the Batmobile, even more when we realize that even a lot of racing games don't have effects like this, and this is an open world game.
The more I see, the more excited I am for Batman: Arkham Knight, probably the best contender for GOTY 2015.
Downgrade is in progress
Which wouldn't be so bad, however since Rocksteady said they are doing console parity, visually the PS4 version is the same as the XBO version, most likely 900p resolution and etc. Hence the not so good visual quality.
Since Rocksteady never held back the visual quality of the PC version of Arkham games before, best to wait for Gamersyde videos of the PC version and compare to the early images and videos to see if they're the same, better or worse.
EDIT: urgh, even worse they incuded PC in that parity too. what morons
probably nvidea physX in the first video?
I would have rather this be set the Adam West universe.... actually I'd be well up for that!
The only way to truly achieve parity on "all" platforms is by locking the PC version's resolution to 900p, the framerate to 30fps and not implementing any PC's GPU technologies like nVidia's PhysX, the GameWorks suite (HairWorks, FaceWorks, FlameWorks, WaveWorks, PostWorks, ShadowWorks), Turbulence, VXGI and etc that the consoles can't handle. Which Rocksteady will never do.
Batman: Arkham Asylum supports: PhysX, Particles, Cloth, Destruction:

Batman: Arkham Origins supports: nVidia Turbulence, HBAO+, Advanced Soft Shadows (ShadowWorks), TXAA, DoF, MFAA:

Batman: Arkham Knight will at least support: nVidia GameWorks - nVidia Turbulence, Environmental PhysX, Volumetric Lights, FaceWorks and Rain Effects.

Plus nVidia has always partnered with Rocksteady and WB Games on their respective games, just like they do with Ubisoft and other companies, they have a great relationship.
These are the reasons why I'm not worried about the PC version, Rocksteady isn't Square Enix which did an horribly PC port of Final Fantasy XIII and just patched it because a lot of people complained and pressured it by threatening to ask for a refund.
If I lived in a country with a decent internet speed, I would have bought Nvidia Shield without a second thought. Streaming games at 1080p 60fps at their highest settings for only 200USD. Sounds like a great deal to me. At least better than these piece of junks which are useless in the second year of their lifespan.
Man I am pissed.
