Could I just confirm we're looking at the same game here? Granted a couple pics looks they could use some AA, but what I'm seeing are beautiful images. I only wish I were playing on a PC, both for the player cap and visuals. Maybe I'll have my gaming quality comp by the time this comes out.

Very true, very true. Question about one of the pics as well, the one with all the bubble/balloon looking things floating in the air: the clearly the first in the series is before final textures and lighting are applied, and the last pic is sort of a finalized version, but what do those balls represent? Something to do with the lighting or particle effects? Can't recall seeing anything like that at the moment, just wondering. :P

Already got a six core 4 GHz CPU so I am just gonna upgrade my GPU for this game. Will probably get a 6950 or a 7850 (if its released by November 2011)

Nice tools there aswell.. But they are never gonna release those to the public offcourse, because godforbid anyone makes free mods or custom maps.. That would seriously threaten DLC sales..

If you are going to buy new graphics card, I recommend nVidia sli. I have 2 HD6950 in crossfire, but I'm getting very irritated by the bad and slow driver support. Mainly crossfire profiles are lacking big time.

But it is nice to see that people are investing in new pc's to play pc games again.

Really? 6950 scaling murders SLI.. That's a discouraging impression as I was intending on buying two HD6950's very soon.

While I won't say you're wrong, it's much more possible with Frostbite 2.0 than the engine's previous iterations. From my understanding, 1.5 processed content in a somewhat odd manner, and needed a variety of expensive peices of hardware (servers, etc.) for the pipeline to run properly. Supposedly, 2.0 is much more streamlined. Also, part of the reason no mod tools were released with BF:BC2 was that 1.5 and 2.0 are different enough that the work creating a tool kit for 1.5 wouldn't be able to be carried over into 2.0, and as a result they didn't want to put the effort into. To me, that sounds like they specifically wanted to focus on making a tool kit for 2.0.
