Xbox 360 PS3

Edge of Reality (Shark Tale, alot of N64 ports) has announced Cipher Complex, something that according to them will be a "totally original IP". You're, as John Cipher, called in by the US government to research behind enemy lines, after a recon satellite is mysteriously blasted from orbit and when no information is given by any country you're permissioned to do it the Die Hard way. They are also promising some great team-based multiplayer gameplay. The game will be released next year on PS3 and X360, and here are some artworks.

Splinter Cell, anyone? But I must say that 1st pic looks great even if it's only an artwork. Btw. what does IP mean besides internet protocol which i doubt it means in this case :P

The Concept Art does look very similar to Splinter Cell.

Hmm i think it's good that Edge of Reality actually wants compete against other major sneaking characters such as Sam Fisher and Snake...
But since only artworks have been revealed and it's likely that the next thing to be revealed will be a CG movie of some sort, this game is still a very tiny opponent against the heavy weight giants of the sneaking-business, i guess all that we can do is wait at this moment.

hmm, next year? <computes real release date> ... that would be about 2010, if my DNF-math is correct ;)
nice concept art though ^_^
very splintercell-ish, but as splinter cell is a nice game that`s not necessarily a bad thing...

IP=Intellectual Property?

uh...does EVERYTHING need to be abbreviated these days? Even if the abbreviation is like...taken? IP means "internet protocol"...the end.

Even stringing together the complete words "totally original Intellectual Property", is a rather awkward way to introduce a game concept. But just how many normal people were supposed to know what the heck was meant by "IP" in this context. I find this weirdly annoying.

Uh, at least where i go on the internet IP usually means Intellectual Property. Honestly, who talks about Internet Protocols these days? Given the context you should be able to work out which it stands for.

Art looks quite nice. can't really say more than that.

You are makign yourself sound really uneducated right now.... in most places in the educated world, IP is extremely common and thrown around.... you bashing it just looks really stupid.

One is an IP address and one is IP..

So if it just says IP it more likely means Intellectual Property.

That's hilarious! I opened this thread SPECIFICALLY to ask what the hell "IP" was supposed to mean...only to see the very first responder WONDERING THE SAME THING. An "education" would suggest at least a rudimentary ability to communicate an idea clearly. Using an inappropriate short cut with a very common alternate translation, doesn't exactly scream rocket scientist. The "educated world" will recognize bad writing way faster than an obscure abbreviation.

Guys, did it EVER cross your mind that not everyone here live in english speaking countries? I mean it's not very likely for someone who doesn't live in one to know what IP means. Please forgive me if anyone of you is from somewhere else and still understands meaning of that. That means I'm just uneducated :p

IP has just been a phrase coined more recently. It simply means a game series.
