A look at The Division on Xbox One X

An Xbox One X update has officially been announced for Tom Clancy's The Division, but it is not available yet. We still were a bit curious to see if Massive Entertainment's game would take advantage of the power of the Xbox One X to improve image quality a tad. We're under the impression it does, but we might be wrong. What do you think?

Game ran at a dynamic resolution for the XB1 and only did 1080p in a few areas, I imagine it's running a near constant 1080p now. I remember there being a chromatic aberration toggle so might be hard to see the improvements if thats on.

some do. it was never going to be able to do all games at native 4k though, it just gets closer to it. division on PS4 Pro was running checkboarded 4k, same as horizon zero dawn. so i'd imagine it the same situation on XBX? maybe better? i can't imagine it's just 1080p

Only patched games. Those unpatched won't. They will only hit the hard limit of the resolution set. So at this moment the current version of Division on XB1 only offers dynamic resolution so the XB1X can only hit 1080p. Once the game is patched (coming soon) it will likely be 4K or close to it.

Either way unpatched games will be improved on XB1X due to higher resolution from those which were dynamic res, forced 16XAF and locked v-sync.

Devs have to implement it like PS4P. It is not like PC yet. But I hope next gen console does do this right out of the box or if possible even fps but I seriously doubt it
