Different people have different standards in games.

I am not a crazy graphics whore, but I thought it looked pretty nice.
I was using Gamer and Advanced setting switched now and then, ran very good on my PC.

Hardcore is suppose to be highest, but it lags for me quite alot so its useless hehe.

You could watch youtube videos on HD :)

yea my GPU takes a beating when playing the demo...at 1080p min frame rate I get is 40 but it doesn't go below that on Hardcore. I hope I get a job soon...I want to buy a 6890 or a Nvidia 580 for this game and Battlefield 3...

Might wait to get one of those cards first before buying either games

I enjoyed it myself :) This is gonna make Grift pop a vessel, but I enjoy playing it on the Xbox more because of the controller. I will be getting it for PC (because it smokes the Xbox in power), but I'll be getting a controller to play it *runs in zig-zag patterns to escape GriftGFX's Incredulosity(tm)... Wait, Hardcore is the highest? damn. I've been playing advanced....

I am owning people and playing suprisingly great with a controller in MP. I tried with mouse and keyboard but I just couldnt play it well, but with controller it was much easier and comfortable :)

I will be getting the PS3 version because then its no mouse vs analog, equal gameplay style.
Who knows maybe I will be getting it on PC as well soly for MP, but for now PS3 only.

Yes, Hardcore is the highest of all.
Annoying that we can't change the settings more specifically like we could in previous Crysis games.

I've no doubts my PC can handle Hardcore, I just haven't tried the others 'cuz I thought Advanced was highest, lol...

I thought so too, until I read from an Nvidia article on what was what.
Well go "Hardcore" then, should be nice :)

IS this the PC version in the trailer because it was runnning at what looks to be 60fps, but i saw 360 buttons on the hud, maybe the final build runs at 60fps in MP??

Downloaded the xbox demo first time round and wasn't all that keen on the multiplayer - as is often the case with most shooters actually - but i went ahead and downloaded the xbox demo a second time. And boy has it clicked in the most special way. It's very tactical being you have to manage your energy at all times.Everything you do from jumping to sprinting uses energy and course special suite use as well. Those extra layers offer a more rewarding time than simply shoot your dead as is the case it seems in Cod- and i guess that's why Cod is so huge with the masses now

It feels very Halo but also with some cod.And for once i didn't get my arse handed to me which is probably why i liked it

Can't bloody wait for this though in truth it's for the single player that i'm most excited- very open design from getting to that next part means playing can be many different ways each time

And the graphics are very subtlely lovely as in a very realistic lighting spread everywhere

Love it

What a shame it doesnt run at 60FPS on the console demo, it really is the only poor thing about it now. The lag has been reduced but trying to shoot something at range that is moving three times faster than you can aim is kind of making sniping pointless.

Its a shame but it seems its the one thing that CoD has over its rivals on console and makes it so noticeable when playing other games.

Hope the SP will be better and might yet get it for that but the MP experience has not got me completely sold on console yet, will wait for some reviews I think.

Early reports are that the PS3 port is pretty poor but maybe the multi uses a different engine...don't really care though myself if SP looks shite the whole thing is worthless.

The only early negative report saying that is by IGN and we know what type of a site that is.

@Mustacio

They have been having problems with the servers a few days ago, I have been playing all day yesterday without any issues.

Yeah, but I dont trust a site like IGN, nor a Playstation exclusive source.
I say we should wait for the demo (even though its a old build), but even so, best way to know is the actual final retail release.

But from what I have seen it looks and runs very good.
Maybe my standard isnt sky high :P

Just played it a bit at my HD 6900. Hardcore settings, no lags whatsoever, runs good, but I didn't see any improvements from the first game either and I expected like... LOTS. Mostly in the ways of physics and realism. This demo offered none. You still can't destroy plants or anything, just bullet marks textures and small trees can be broken (like palms in first game). Bigger trees are invincible. I remember Far Cry 2 was like "woooooow so realistic" to me with all those destroyable things and fires, but crysis 2 demo didn't impress me one bit. It looks ok. That's about it. I dunno maybe I missed something because I just run one multiplayer map and then quit and don't have any desire to go back.
And about all PS3 discussions, why would you play a game like this on a console anyway? If you have money on ps3 and an hdtv surely you should have money for a decent modern pc...

haha this demo alone is more fun than Crysis multiplayer or Crysis Wars ever were. I have no clue what you are smoking....

oh and btw the multiplayer graphics in those two games were scaled back compared to the single player portion...
