Crytek finally released the long awaited DirectX11 patch for Crysis 2 but they also added a whole patch dedicated to HD textures. On the highest settings and 1080p, the framerate goes from 60 fps to 24 fps on my PC, a high price to pay to have new cool effects. Is it worth it? I'll let you decide and compare with the videos we made when the game was first released.

EA and Crytek have released a trailer to announce the first DLC of Crysis 2. Retaliation will contain 4 new maps (Park Avenue, Transit, Shipyard and Compound) and will be available on May 17 (18 in Europe) on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

As you probably figured out, we really enjoyed Crysis 2 here at Gamersyde, even though it is a bit disappointing in a few departments (the physics engine is less impressive than in the first episode, the AI is also lacking, not to mention the many bugs we witnessed). Therefore, we decided to try to capture some PC gameplay footage, which is a first.
Update: One last gift for you, we added two 1080p videos, 30 fps only though.

Thanks to a French member who works at a retail store, we managed to get our hands on a Xbox 360 version of Crysis 2. Here are then the first 10 minutes of the game, the opening credits and a second gameplay video (to be available ASAP) showing a bit of the beginning of the avdenture. As you will see, the game looks good, though it also comes with a few framete and opo-up issues. Let's not, however, compare it with its PC counterpart.

Electronic Arts has put online this Crysis 2 launch trailer which is available today in North America and this thursday in Europe.

EA has released the third gameplay video from Crysis 2 campaign, the level is called Gate Keepers and was captured from the PC version. The game's out in a few days.

A new demo of Crysis 2 is now available on Xbox 360 and PC and EA released a dedicated trailer to give us an idea of its content. The PS3 demo should follow in a bit.
