Crytek enjoys the pre-E3 to announce its new multiplayer game. Hunt: Horrors of the Gilded Age is planned for this fall on PC and consoles. Teaser ans press release in the news.

Fight Together or Die Alone in Crytek's Thrilling new IP, HUNT: Horrors of the Gilded Age

Frankfurt am Main (Germany), Austin, TX (USA), June 3, 2014 – Brace yourself for a spine-chilling new multiplayer experience on PC and consoles as Crytek ventures into the shadows in "HUNT: Horrors of the Gilded Age".

An all-new IP, HUNT is a third-person action game where up to four players band together to fend off an onslaught of bloodthirsty creatures and track down breathtaking bosses. Featuring intense co-op gameplay, HUNT is the debut title from Crytek USA Corp., and will be published by Crytek as part of their growing Games-as-a-Service range. Players won't have to wait long to take a closer look at HUNT in action, with the game being shown at this year's E3 expo from June 10-12.

David Adams, CEO of Crytek USA Corp., said: "In HUNT: Horrors of the Gilded Age, players will be counting their bullets and crying out for help as they delve deeper into the shadowy world we've created. From the outset of the development process, we've poured our imaginations into the game so that everyone who plays HUNT will discover a challenging experience that feels fresh, captivating and rich in possibilities."

Set in the late 1800s, HUNT depicts a world where so-called myths and folklore actually point to the terrifying truth about evil lurking just beyond the fringes of day-to-day life. Players act as hunters willing to take up arms and risk their necks by venturing into the deadliest of territories and facing the hideous creatures that have overrun them.

Adding to the thrill of the hunt is a special content generation system that ensures players never encounter exactly the same environment or set of enemies twice. As the surprises come thick and fast, the terror of knowing that one of the game's grueling boss battles could be just around the corner will keep everyone's pulses pounding. Defeating bosses will require close collaboration between hunters as they attempt to figure out and take down some truly terrifying monsters.

HUNT: Horrors of the Gilded Age is scheduled to enter Closed Beta testing on PC later this year, and players can sign up for a chance to experience the game first at http://www.huntthegame.com

E3 2014 attendees looking to see HUNT in the flesh should visit Crytek at booth 4500 in the Los Angeles Convention Center.

First thought that came to mind was, Hunter: The Reckoning.
Since its free and its TPS zombie hunting i will give it a go, just need some gameplay footage first, which is at e3.

Crytek must have lots of time on their hands. First Homefront, now this. And God only knows what else they have for us at E3.

Having multiple studios help;). This studio(Crytek USA) is basically Virgil Games. I have some hope for this based on that.

Actually I think Homefront is mostly licensing the cryengine tech not actually developing the game... Could be wrong on this though

Nope. It's Crytek UK's (former Free Radical) first game in 6 years after mostly helping with Crytek's other projects. THQ was supposed to publish it, but once they went bankrupt, Crytek bought the IP and were free to make radical changes to the game.

Everybody wants to be the next Left 4 Dead. This looks like a cross between that and Evolve? according to that last character reveal at the end anyways.

Agreed The second I saw the picture and Title i thought. Is Crytek trying to copy Evolve? But I think it will be a very different experience.
I watched the video and I thought that it looked like a Western movie style L4D.

After the abomination that was Ryse. It was kinect game converted to controller. They need to start making good games again. They are top notch in gfx, models so that is a given. But hopefully a better game too.

That's sad. Out of my first 5 games on XO, this was the one I played through first. I really enjoyed it ... really hope for a part 2 announcement at E3

My comment made you sad ? Seriously grow up.

Todd Papy, GOW:A director and long time in SSM guy has joined Crytek. Not sure if he is working on this project but if they make something like Ryse I would think he would be involved in it. Hence they offered him a job ?

It's sad that you didn't enjoy it, not your comment ;D

As for part 2: if they fix enemy variation and only make you succeed if you actually push the right buttons [and not just give you less points], I'd pre-order it :)
