Thank you so much for this trailer!

I will love to replay Dark Souls 1 again, best in the series. Hopefully From Software delivers on the 4K assets' quality, then it will be the perfect game.

my worry about this is that's it's being moved to the dark souls 3 engine and they say to expect changes to the way combat feels. they better not fuck it up.

I hope one big change will be the inclusion of omnidirectional rolling. Other than that the combat could stay the way it is as far as I'm concerned.

Yup, other cross-engine usually come with graphics and sound issues on top of that. The Bioshock Collection doesn't have environemental audio (the originals had these features even on PS3/XBOX360), Bioshock 2's harpoon doesn't stick enemies to walls anymore, Doom 3 BFG (Horrendous Texture compression)

What you can fear the most are new glitches and a bad translation of the art direction with lighting and textures.
It's often minimal and trivial to the newcomers but when you know these games like the back of your hand even the most tiny differences become highly distracting. I still prefer the PS3 ports of Bioshock 1,2,3 over these "remasters" as poor as they can be considered...

I didn't like Dark Souls 2 and haven't tried 3 but Demon's Souls And DS1 Felt special to me. i still have the feels when i hear Their character creation musics. I used to loop them for hours.

But i'm sure FROM didn't forget the DS2 60 fps weapon durability uproar.

If they make the mechanics feel like DS3 then we are talking about perfection

I've played Demon's and Dark souls for many many hours and only played Dark Souls II for a few hours before i lost interest. I feared i had burned out on the formula when they announced DS3, but i ended up really liking it. Fantastic art design and bosses. A little less interconnected world compared to DS1, but great in it's own way
