Zombie Strudios' psychological thriller and Unreal Engine 4-powered gets its first trailer. Within a procedurally generated world, players will have to escape an abandoned hospital while exploring its dark criminal past with only a cell phone as light source. Daylight will be released digitally this year.

This is from the developers of Condemned and FEAR who disbanded from Monolith. So yeah, I'm pretty stoked for it.

Jesus christ, it didn't help that some loudmouth ass hat wouldn't shut the fuck up. It made the game look like shit, (it doesn't look great considering it's UE4 either tbh)

I'll keep an eye on it though, not near enough horror themed titles out there atm.

Yo, son that's why i said ''most of these'' - there are just few exceptions like Amnesia and Lone Survivor, which i quite liked.

Daylight looks on par with previous work of the studio.

aannnd that is why I never see Horror movies when they are in theaters. so many fucking teenage girls screaming at the top of their lungs then laughing hysterically while cursing and repeating "oh god"

completely kills the whole horror part for me and ruins the movie. best to play these games on your own or with someone who isn't a teenage girl like that guy in the video.

There is a Fatal Frame clone called DreadOut. Looks scary and uses a smartphone camera rather than old camera.
