This one game I really hope turns out well. Been following it since the very first time it was announced years ago, would really be a dissapointment if this turns out shit. Losing my faith in this game after I are there trailers lately, not because it looks bad but because how they are made.
One of their trailers had some sort of hip hop mix set to it now this one set to some moody track similar to the one that started all the hype in the first place. Makes me feel like these guys can't make up their damn mind how they want their game to play.
Just seems like one of those typical mid-budget games that spends way too much time and money on trying to make it look like a AAA title, then when you play it it's not that great. I hope i'm wrong, but much like grift i'm not convinced.
Rage has gunplay that looks like horrible shit and still noone call it a flop :P Anyway Im still not convinced, sometimes it reminds me of Just cause 2 and JC2 = boredom after 2 hrs...
I guess you could call it a flop if you are expecting a game to compete with Skyrim and UC3 for game of the year. I am keeping low expectations, but everything I have seen has me really interested. To me, this looks like one of those games that will receive 6.5-8.0 range review scores, but I will love it anyway.
Granted the animation is poor and the plot isn't nearly as good as the initial trailer led on, but look at everything it does.
+Open world survival horror (allows for freedom and exploration and never really been done before that I know of)
+Great setting (maybe cliche, but beautiful and interesting)
+RPG elements (adds depth, always welcome imo)
+Great atmosphere (open world means more dynamic scares)
+In your face melee combat (reminds of a Condemned which is very good)
+Weapons that degrade and are upgrade-able (again, adds depth and tension)
+Excellent gore (critical element to a zombie game, but almost never done well. Check out those flying body parts and body damage!)
+Great graphics (some of those jungle shots look like Crysis see video @41 & 56 seconds)
+Perfect game for coop with a buddy and 12 pack
+Guns kept to a minimum (very good for a zombie game)
I don't know, I'm not usually a huge zombie game fan, but everything there looks pretty damn fun to me...
If this was a movie, I would call it "popcorn-fun". Watch, have fun for the while it lasts, and forget it afterwards (which doesn't mean that this is bad, not every game nor movie HAS to be thought of and remembered for ages). The only thing I see what could make this game last a littlebit longer in my memories would be a proper mod support.

your crazy, this is anything but a flop, lots of fans its got already, and the game looks and plays pretty dam good imo from the videos seen so far, either way don't judge a game until its released, I'm sick and tired of the negativism.
