The zombie outbreak art direction is quite well done.

Just hoping the objectives require some interesting travel planning and decent well flesh-out locations.

so whats this offering that L4D didnt give us years ago? The whole original premise was supposed to be no guns.. basically a first person dead rising...with zombie models that would visually degrade as you chipped away at them.

Now what? an open world 4 player co-op game? thats not going to work.

L4D was not open world, this does that. That's a pivotal difference.

I'm guessing you can pick up guns but all you have is the ammo that's in the gun rather than having ammo dumps so it's just a temporary weapon.

Open world or not, what's the difference? You run around shooting zombies. From day 1 this was a L4D wannabe... Not necessarily a bad thing, but let's give credit where it's due.

Bullshots. The game isn't going to look like this judging from the other screens I've seen. If there is anything more played out than WWII (and now modern war) games, it's zombie games. How boring..

So L4D is the first game ever to feature Zombies?

Nothing about this game's mechanics or objective model has been released yet. No gameplay has even been released.

i cant see how an open world co-op game will work without set objectives that keep you on a linear path...removing the point of an open world. Otherwise players would just scatter and it'd be pointless it being co-op.

This game was actually announced before L4D so cant really call it a "wannabe".. its just missed its window to be truely different.. now it's surely destined to be in L4D's shadow unless it had a bigger hook to sell it..we shall see

it has that very distinct techland look to it. like the textures are too high res for it's own good, makes everything look grainy and shimmery.

looks like every other zombie game tho. just a brainless zombie fest (original premis and teaser trailer made it seems different, and interesting), which has more then outstayed its welcome as far as video game themes are concerned. if it isnt a modern warfare themed shooter it's a zombie game. annoys the crap out of me.

The fact that the images are overly compressed probably has a lot to do with that.

I especially hate it when they release undersampled images and compress the hell out of them. WHAT IS THE POINT?

People are being ridiculously judgemental; we've hardly heard anything about the game - not to mention the fact that there has been NO gameplay footage, not even a snipper - and yet you're all writing it off already.
