Xbox 360

As for every week, Dead or Alive 4 also had the honor to get 4 pages of informations and images in the latest Famitsu Weekly. That new Hitomi costume in german style is quite tasty :D

is that a photo mode? If it is that is THE BEST photo mode I have ever seen. It's like looking straight into a canon 1ds, from the looks of it! (bottom of pic 2)

Its accurate tho.. finally a game where I can actually use proper manual settings (they even put in the af points, lol!).. instead of just a slider or something for "blur"

I'm guessing that's the game lobby in the pic with the lobsters and stuff walking around. Pretty cool concept for a game lobby. Especially, if you can walk up to a person and pick a fight if they're talking smack.

Whoa, that last pic is for those who say DOA is a button masher, it sure does look like a complex combo to me.

It looks mighty pretty. I hope they make it into a proper fighter though this time around. DOA3 each character only had about 5-10 actual special moves.. lets hope for more this time.

Cheers for the scans blim.

In practice mode it shows you all of the buttons you pressed at the bottom. Notice the combo meter only reads 1.

Still doesn't look like a nextgen fighting game to me, but maybe gameplay has improved.

I'm not him, but the models in VF5 (which is running in a board WAY less powerful than the XBox360) look better. And VF5 has photo-realistic self-shadowing, which only nails it home even harder.

It also has tiny fighting environments that you can't move from section to section in.

Wow, for some reason these scans have me all hyped up for the game again. I guess it's seeing the shake up in the interface, all the nice game modes including a cool online team battle and yes... the costumes.

Release date for Japan is Dec 17 and I believe the US is on that date or maybe a few days earlier. IGN's latest just said Mid-Dec.

VF5 does look superior, but thats just because its not anime style like doa4.. thats the main reason why people bash doa4. If TN would have approached a different artstyle the game could look more realistic. I think you can even see sweat in VF5, or maybe it was CG what i saw.

The environments in VF5 don't compare to any of the stages I've seen in DOA4.

Virtua Fighter 5 does not look as good as DOA4, in my opinion:

Low res screen shots will make any game look less than what it is. I will wait untill I can see it in front of my face to judge. When I first played PDZ it was like sweet in some spots. Looks better than what I expected.

DOA is the most innovative, most fun series out there. I'm not about to spend a lifetime mastering Akira or something. I'd rather hurl my best friend at traffic or slam him into some destructable objects in DOA4.

Anyway, I can't wait for DOA4 to hit stores. Thanks for the new scans Xboxyde.

VF5 looks great IMO,I don't see anything wrong with DOA anime style look if everything was model to be realistic it would be boring, DOA anime style isn't the best but's great also...I personally prefer DOA to VF as a game but VF is still a classic.
