Nice cgi, shitty music choice that doesnt do the atmosphere and the genre they are trying to achieve any justice.

Love the snow/ice planet no doubt about that, i just hope the game overal is fun to play and gives good experience in the end.

After playing ds1 and ds2 over again on hard core this weekend - I think I'm going to be over critical about DS3 but the demo didn't hurt too much like it did some of you on here *cough*.

OMG have any of you cleared DS2 on the Hard Core? Dat Hand Canon was a serious throw back to Nintendo Game Genie Days! :D

See real life hand canon version here ;).

I think I'm going to be pig headed gamer if DS3 doesn't have a hand canon like easter egg in it LOL.

Demo felt nothing like dead space, felt more like LP, which was horrible. The gun wielding enemies felt forced. The cover system felt tacked on. Dead space 2 was hardly the horror/tension filled experience of DS1, but this one has no amount of either. I was practically running and gunning through the whole thing. Could be a case of familiarity? Could be that the game is shit?

It appears some people already have their copies, saw some guys streaming their playthrough of the game.

From the vast amount I have seen, it appears Visceral Games tried to infuse some elements of DS1 + DS2. I think they mostly all fall flat and I am not impressed.

* The atmosphere/environment is NO WHERE scary/horror -If thats what they were claiming they were selling;
point note - to create this, the player (Isaac) has to feel
1. Helpless **
2. Alone **
3. Unfamiliar with the terrain

None, I could see from the game play what so ever apart from random necromorphs/monsters spawing left and right.

Enough said.

I feel the same way after playing the demo. Gonna watch a bit gameplay from full version now.

It's a trailer, and it looks like it's supposed to give you an idea of the story, not scare you.
The song is fine, if it were the 80s original I'd say you'd have a case. It's recognizable and it sounds cool through most the entire thing, but the history it has does hamper a bit.

Also for clarification these games AREN'T scary. They're intense yes, but scary? Hardly. Other than the indie market no one tries to truly scare you anymore.

Last time i jumped from a game scaring me out of "scary/horror element" was the classic Resident Evil game in the mansion mostly with the dogs jumping in from windows. And Resident Evil 4 with the Degenerators when i first encountered them.

The rest is just big tension and quick "damn!" *panic* thats all there is.
Either you guys are so damn light hearted or you just want you to bitch about something that never really was there.

Dead Space was all about tension ad unexpected bodies waking up randomly or falling, yeah scary since it hasent been done to death in movies its predictable.
The series is more about setting up the atmosphere and giving you that intense tension and I think they have done it well in DS1 and 2.

PS. Doom 3 on original Xbox in the old days got me spooked a few times lol.

Dude Sath... theres also a bunch of scary movies out there that people watch so what they think is scary is not scary to others or will make others crap bricks... oh well lets see how this game reviews...

It's not Phil Collins though. It's some shitty messed up cover of a great song.

A great song that was best applied in Tom Cruise's Risky Business...

The trailer is stupid... why didn't they just use in game graphics instead of idiot boy with cgi pasted on suit?

Idiot boy was little harsh....did that guy plow your sister or something? I didn't see anything idiotic OR boyish about him....I think doofus-man would be a better descriptor.
