Fixed the link, no need to give more hits to GT when it's originally IGN's content and we also have that footage in better quality anyway.

I usually don't really 'enjoy' playing scary games, and so far this game has really shown that it isn't offering anything super special other than being a moody/atmospheric rpg shooter. I recently when through Stalker, which was a nice game and kinda circles around the same little genre 'Scarey FPS-RPG'.

Maybe it's cause the creeoy pedophile sounding developer that talked during the whole demo of bioshock and kept saying stuff that was really un-impressive and basically what every dev always says (our world is totally open ended, technically we are doing some amazing things, our AI is realistic etc etc blah blah then proceeds to show 3-4 rooms and an NPC walk to another and do 1 thing.. omg that's amazing...).

The only thing remotely different is that you can make NPCs mad at eachother, but that's nothing to cream myself over. Don't get me wrong I'm for sure playing this game, but I'm not super excited or thrilled like 90% of everyone else seems to be. Maybe I've entered into another world of jaded gamers or something :(

I know where you are coming from DJJoe. I'm not super thrilled about Bioshock yet. I remember the old SystemShock games and they were utter brilliant and I hope this will be as well. Until now I have, however, not seen much that really stuns me. The only trust is that most people who indeed had a chance to play the game first hand do find it very very good. I'm still being sketical though. But hopefully I'll be proven wrong in the late summer...

Looks amazing, each piece of footage or screenshot just makes it a harder wait.

Spelling mistake in the header it should be Bioshock not Bioshoch.

One reason the game is scary, it's not for children. Second reason, realistic details and animations.

So if it's not completely new it's not interesting per default..?

This game has a brilliant atmosphere, brilliant artwork, the animations are very impressive, and the sounds are also very impressive.

The combination of FPS+magic spells/teleportation/telekinesis combined with RPG elements have probably been done before, but how often do you run into a game like this? Once every so many years..?!
Not to mention the story and the setting that is used in this game, never seen that done before.

What makes this game so awesome and unique is that it does all these things, combined and it does them excellent..!
