But, the gameplay doesn't impress me at all. Just a complete copy of DMC. I don't think I will buy it, but it does look interesting.
Seeing as it's going to be a trilogy, i'll probably rent it and see if it's worth getting.
I'm not really a fan of all that hack 'n' slash kinda stuff, so I hope that this game isn't like that (I do realise that there are going to be many RPG elements in it). But, if it is going to be on the epic scale as LOTR like they've said i'll be thinking about getting it.
What do you think about the game from what you've seen Snoopers?
Based on what SK has said, Diablo is probably a closer ancestor to Too Human. Instead of pointing and clicking, you're pointing a stick.
It definitely looks like it suffers from the same affliction Mass Effect has where it's rife with large spaces but lacks any kind of density. I'd take tighter corridors that felt populated with characters and/or objects over vast stretches of nothing. That's one thing about Oblivion that I liked: it never really felt empty to me.
And if it's close to Diablo, i'd settle for that (Y)
Release date for this?
I wasted more than 6mins of my life hoping to watch some cool footage of the game and was given a psychological analysis of games and how to approach them
I used to confuse mass effect and too human a while ago, Maybe it was the lead characters looking similar back when both were in the early stages of development. Mass effect has been released, yet too human still is showing developer diary videos!
The game has been in development for so long, i remember it announced for the gamecube? xbox and then the xbox 360 .. .i recall reading how their demo wasn't well received during e3, camera issues, later heard engine issues with epic, and how it uses the unreal engine, and now it doesn't etc, even heard it is going to be one of the most expensive game ever developed (thought i believe that was just a rumour).
I keep getting the impression , the team just wants to get it rid of this project ..just given up on it and simply wants to release it.
The gamers might end up with a game that isn't all the hype and talk that surrounded it.
The longer they are waiting, other games are being released and raising the gamers expectation bars..imagine if COD4 was released before Halo 3 came out?
I think reviewers will eat this game apart, seems like a heck of a lot of research is going on, but that's about it, bet reviewers would blame camera work, gameplay and mention something about the lines of * had the potential to be one of the greatest games..., best to wait for the next episode of Too Human* This is part 1 of a series trilogy after all.
Dunno why i think the game won't live up to it's hype, just have the feeling it will be a 7/10
considering i personally dont like the look of the game at all, it gives it a way higher chance of actually being surprisingly good then if i was hyped for it. i really dont think it's gonna live up to the hype the devs are spinning, but then i think if your expectation are as low as mine, the chances of dissapointment are smaller.
EDIT : i have a feeling it could go the way of advent rising. hugely ambitious, hugely hyped up, but didnt deliver at all but still had a compelling story. lets just hope if this does end up like advent rising that we get the sequels to at least finish uo the storyline. the way advent rising left me on a cliffhanger and knowing i was never going to get closure was painfull.
i also dout it will get the go ahead for 2 more
i mean at this rate the story wont be compleate until 2015
they should make knights of the old republic 3
i dunno why i think that
maybe because they are called silicon 'knights' and it rang a bell
And like i've said, if it is indeed a 3D Diablo that's fine with me 'cos I love that game.
I wasted more than 6mins of my life hoping to watch some cool footage of the game and was given a psychological analysis of games and how to approach them
Given SK's history as developers, I still think that this game will turn the corner in it's development and deliver the goods. It may have seemed like a waste of time but listening to them talk up gameplay experience is highly encouraging.
If they can't get the game to look stellar they will throw all of their efforts into gameplay mechanics. Which isn't a bad idea because I'll be the first to say that good gameplay mechanics covers a multitude of graphical short comings.
