I really don't know what to make of this game. Part of me likes the graphics (although you can see they need polish etc) and I kinda like the RPG elements that have been mentioned earlier.

But, the gameplay doesn't impress me at all. Just a complete copy of DMC. I don't think I will buy it, but it does look interesting.

Seeing as it's going to be a trilogy, i'll probably rent it and see if it's worth getting.

Whenever they talk, my mind goes "oh my god, i love this game!". But the in game footage they show makes me go "this is gonna suck compared to the game those guys are talking about".

I dunno snoopers. The sword combat mixed with guns just reminds me so much of DMC along with the kinda moves that you see in the vid. 'Complete' copy's a bit extreme tbf.

I'm not really a fan of all that hack 'n' slash kinda stuff, so I hope that this game isn't like that (I do realise that there are going to be many RPG elements in it). But, if it is going to be on the epic scale as LOTR like they've said i'll be thinking about getting it.

What do you think about the game from what you've seen Snoopers?

Yeah, merely featuring two of the same classes of weapons doesn't really warrant the use of the word copy at all.

Based on what SK has said, Diablo is probably a closer ancestor to Too Human. Instead of pointing and clicking, you're pointing a stick.

It definitely looks like it suffers from the same affliction Mass Effect has where it's rife with large spaces but lacks any kind of density. I'd take tighter corridors that felt populated with characters and/or objects over vast stretches of nothing. That's one thing about Oblivion that I liked: it never really felt empty to me.

Yeah I know what you mean. For me personally that the best bit about Oblivion - the environment was so filled, enemies everywhere, things to do. There was never a plain of land in Oblivion where something wasn't there.

And if it's close to Diablo, i'd settle for that (Y)

Release date for this?

The fuck is this?

I wasted more than 6mins of my life hoping to watch some cool footage of the game and was given a psychological analysis of games and how to approach them

I used to confuse mass effect and too human a while ago, Maybe it was the lead characters looking similar back when both were in the early stages of development. Mass effect has been released, yet too human still is showing developer diary videos!

The game has been in development for so long, i remember it announced for the gamecube? xbox and then the xbox 360 .. .i recall reading how their demo wasn't well received during e3, camera issues, later heard engine issues with epic, and how it uses the unreal engine, and now it doesn't etc, even heard it is going to be one of the most expensive game ever developed (thought i believe that was just a rumour).

I keep getting the impression , the team just wants to get it rid of this project ..just given up on it and simply wants to release it.

The gamers might end up with a game that isn't all the hype and talk that surrounded it.

The longer they are waiting, other games are being released and raising the gamers expectation bars..imagine if COD4 was released before Halo 3 came out?

I think reviewers will eat this game apart, seems like a heck of a lot of research is going on, but that's about it, bet reviewers would blame camera work, gameplay and mention something about the lines of * had the potential to be one of the greatest games..., best to wait for the next episode of Too Human* This is part 1 of a series trilogy after all.

Dunno why i think the game won't live up to it's hype, just have the feeling it will be a 7/10

wow, they sure hell have a great ability to make the game sound WAY better then it actually looks.

considering i personally dont like the look of the game at all, it gives it a way higher chance of actually being surprisingly good then if i was hyped for it. i really dont think it's gonna live up to the hype the devs are spinning, but then i think if your expectation are as low as mine, the chances of dissapointment are smaller.

EDIT : i have a feeling it could go the way of advent rising. hugely ambitious, hugely hyped up, but didnt deliver at all but still had a compelling story. lets just hope if this does end up like advent rising that we get the sequels to at least finish uo the storyline. the way advent rising left me on a cliffhanger and knowing i was never going to get closure was painfull.

after all the time and money put into this game, i see it coming in very low in the charts... what a waste

i also dout it will get the go ahead for 2 more
i mean at this rate the story wont be compleate until 2015

they should make knights of the old republic 3
i dunno why i think that
maybe because they are called silicon 'knights' and it rang a bell

I do, actually :) TH is more 3D Diablo style, with a lot of looting and RPG elements. And you wield / shoot with the analog sticks.

It appears to be improved upon previous iterations; sharper textures, vibrant colors, connected animations... i have some hope for this game again. It definately appeals my sense for beauty (not long ago i have been thinking that it looks ugly)

Okay Snoopers, you know best :D Tbf I dunno an awful lot about this game, so I was wrong to judge. I do apologise (Y)

And like i've said, if it is indeed a 3D Diablo that's fine with me 'cos I love that game.

From the footage the graphics are good looking in some areas and ok looking in others. However, this game needs better animation.

We've listened to developers blab about gameplay experiences before. This is no different

Given SK's history as developers, I still think that this game will turn the corner in it's development and deliver the goods. It may have seemed like a waste of time but listening to them talk up gameplay experience is highly encouraging.

If they can't get the game to look stellar they will throw all of their efforts into gameplay mechanics. Which isn't a bad idea because I'll be the first to say that good gameplay mechanics covers a multitude of graphical short comings.

Nope, SK's reputation is on the line with this game. Their legal joust with Epic, their critics accusing them of being low skilled whiners and finally moving the game from UE3 to their own custom engine. No, they seem 100% committed to this project.

You must not play a lot of aRPGs then. To me, that zipping around is indicative of general uber badassness. This kind of combat is a huge step forward for aRPGs.

As much hype as the devs try to push, the animations and fluidity look like something that I would have expected of the 32-bit era. It just looks too damn clunky, and I don't think that the fixed camera was a good idea and it doesn't seem to do anything but stay centered behind the character in most videos presentations. I hope I'm so wrong about this game, but after seeing the animations of Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden, I think this game still has a long way to go. It looks like a button masher with stiff animations and slow control response. We'll see, but it doesn't look good so far.

Thats why im sold. I dont really care about gfx and animation in diablo style game. Looting and trading ( maybe ) 2gether with a nice selection of skills is good enough for me. 360 + xbl is such a great mix for this kind of gameplay ( diablo wise ), sadly all we get are FPS gamez.
