Oh come on this looks a lot of fun! The arena size is awesome for multiplayer :) Besides, creating this as a standalone title means Dirt 4 should hopefully be focused entirely on rally? well, we can hope ;)

Indeed. Wisest decision they made since the launch of the current generation of consoles.
This will be lots of fun.

The cars are too solid, where's the destruction exactly? Except for the odd door pinging off, it's always the doors!!!

You said it, was.. The Destruction Derby games are offcourse way to old.. At least the Flatout series is current with good graphics and physics etc by today's standards.. What I mean is Flatout is a proper (available) alternative for Dirt Showdown, Destruction Derby isn't....

Destriction derby 2 and RAW are just as playable today as they where. I'll agree about the first game tho...that hasnt ages well at all. As for flatout, the physics hurt the game more then helped it. It was comparably slow compared to DD2/RAW, it Wasnt very fun flipping your car and losing the race just because you approached a jump at .0001 degrees off. Or totalling your car just cos you hit a small stone at the edge of the track. Tbh if it wasnt for the mini-games in flatout i wouldnt have enjoyed it at all.

We really do need a new destruction derby tho. Show everyone how it's done.
