DiRT Showdown shows the Hoonigan's events madness in this new trailer of the game. Codemasters has just revealed that the game will hit store shelves on May 24 in Europe and May 29 in North America. Also, next month, Codemasters will be rebranded as Codemasters Racing and will focus on racing games.

Loved dirt, but hate the stunt type events, just want races and damage.

When I worked there we tested Dirt 2 and I heard insiders talking about how they simply `Had` to go with this new angle and drop the CM name due to certain tie-ins with the McRae family and the game license/name etc.

No more CM-named games will EVER come out of Codemasters again and to be honest, their future will undoubtedly be with Ken Block and todays modern boy racers :0(

Don`t quote me on it of course, but I would safely bet my £1.20 pocket money that I`m right lol.

Doesnt the above quote say to you guys that there WILL be stand alone rally and racing games being produced from now as well as these spin-off "show" titles?
I personally enjoyed the showdown events in Dirt 3 but would love to see a more rally focused title next time around with less emphasis on hooning around!
