Xbox 360

Atari and Namco released a new batch of airplanes for Ace Combat 6 yesterday, giving you the choice to buy six different ones with various themes - how about 'The Idolmaster'? I have been able to take them for a spin, and inside you will find a gameplay video of one of the airplanes (a Ace Combat 3 classic) plus some images and prices.

Typhoon – UPEO EMBLEM – (Free)
The heroes of Ace Combat 3, UPEO Squadron Aircraft. A stripped down payload for increased stability coupled with outstanding turning performance allow this aircraft to weave through any battlefield with ease. Directly under the command of the international peace and security council, NUN, lies UPEO, which in turn resides over SARF, charged with quelling military uprisings across the globe.

CFA-44 Nosferatu – PROTOTYPE – (200 Microsoft Points)
Prototype Aircraft. The stability of this aircraft has taken precedence over other design elements to facilitate a battle deployed EML system. The fully maximized striking power of the EML makes up for any inherent disadvantages in dogfighting capabilities. A variety of additional customizations were carried out at the hand of ace pilot Ilya Pasternak.

Tornado GR.4 – RAGING SHARK – (200 Microsoft Points)
Shark Mouth Aircraft. A massive increase in payload and armor come at the expense of speed. The advantages of this tradeoff are exercised in anti-ground offensive capabilities. The Shark Mouth is one of the most recognized of all nose art, and is loved for its brash and ferocious style.

F-14D SuperTomcat – RAZGRIZ – (200 Microsoft Points)
The heroes of Ace Combat 5, Razgriz Squadron Aircraft. Advanced accident prevention systems, and high durability have been incorporated into the design to ensure the survival of all squadron members. Known as both heroes and demons, the Razgriz Squadron's drive towards victory smashed all who stood before them. When history witnesses a great change, Razgriz reveals itself.

Su-33 Flanker – YELLOW SQUADRON – (200 Microsoft Points)
Ace Combat 4 Rival Yellow Squadron Aircraft. This lightly armored aircraft possesses unsurpassed maneuverability. Boasting excellent turning performance, witnessing it cut a razor's path is proof enough of it's place as king of the sky. The elite Yellow Squadron stands as the pride of Erusea with Yellow 13 leading the handpicked group of five wingmen. Caring little for personal glory, Yellow 13 sought only to protect his wingmen, and to encounter a rival of worthy skill.

Su-47 Berkut – THE IDOLMASTER MIKI-EX – (400 Microsoft Points)
THE IDOLMASTER, Miki-EX (Miki Hoshii) Aircraft. Hundreds of hours of tuning have transformed this aircraft into a superstar. Although a little difficult to control, it performs like no other. A true example of what can be achieved when hidden potential is realized.

Well nobody is forcing anyone to buy them, and they are very high quality skins.

Nice skins but IMHO simply too expensive.

I hate the concept of DLC. DLC is stuff that should have made it into the retail package in the first place.
