Images Xbox 360 PS3

Namco-Bandai announced yesterday the release this autumn of Dragon Ball: Raging Blast on PS3 and 360. Considering this a game from the Budokai Tenkaichi series this should be quite more interesting than the rather disappointing Burst Limit.

Hmm..when will they ever do it right?

They should make a DBZ game containing every saga till the end. (using in-game cinematics)

Maybe a different genre. Rpg or action adventure.

If it's not possible on dvd, put it on Blu-ray and make it a ps3 exclusive.

That'd really make me a happy girl.

Ps: Gohan is the best!

I'm very disappointed. I really don't like the Spike developed DBZ games at all, I really thought the Tenkaichi games were garbage. The Dimps ones are much better fighting games in my opinion; they're fun even if you don't like DBZ. Here's hoping Dimps will make a new game after this one that will be exactly like Budokai 3 (the best DBZ game in my opinion) but with current gen HD graphics.

Not very interesting graphics... Seems to be PS2 HD :/

I'd just like them to put in the original musics from the anime instead of the rock-techno-pop we're used to for Dragon Ball games...

I guess I'm the only one who thinks the characters look beautiful. Seriously.

The backgrounds and effects on the other hand.. yeah, lame.

No your not the only one. The character models favor the anime more than any dbz game yet. Also the facial expression are noticeable. They finally got around to addressing the destructibility of the environments and how it plays into gameplay, thats been one of my complaints about past dbz games. Hopefully they addressed it well, from the press release, they seem to have a good idea in place, hopefully they can execute it good. I hated the last dbz game and that was the first one i didn't buy in a long time besides saga. As far as the environments goes thus far, they look something straight out of the PS2 game. The player models stand out tho, hopefully the environment gets a bump. Im also glad they went back to the Tenkaichi free 3d like style of gameplay, thats suits dbz more

DBZ Budokai 3 was nothing but a complete repetitive crap, that benefited only from finding items and unlockables. The fighting systems was the same for all characters and so, SO repetitive - the only thing that changed was the ultra moves. Even those however were a pain to do properly. DBZ: Burst Limit was essentially based on the previous Budokai games - thats why it sucked.

DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 however was simply awesome. A much more accessible fighting system, larger roster of characters, tons of destructible environments and ofc - much more impressive graphics. And this successor to Tenkaichi 3 looks simply beautiful.

The fighting system is FAR more "repetitive" in the Tenkaichi series than Budokai. And the larger roster is largerly artificially raised with the seperation of each different transformation for all the characters. Of course ihave better graphics too. It came out THREE years after it. The fightsing system was very different in Budokai. Not the game's fault you don't know how to play.

TBH, this the cell shading graphics seems vastly improved...but im somewhat speaking in ignorance, having not touched any of the games after budokai2...which made me quite ill. Nevertheless, this'll get a rental.

The character models look amazing. Sometimes it looks just like they cut it from the cartoon an pasted it right in. I'd say this is the closest they've come to looking like an actual cartoon/anime when it comes to character models.

What the hell is "PS2 HD"? I'm not too sure what kind of backgrounds people are expecting from a game based on an anime... they're not great by any stretch of the imagination but they look about as DBZ as can be expected.
