Page 1 2 >>But I am old school...and I do not really care about the grafix and if they are dated!
This is a trip into my past,
and I am just glad Gearbox did what they did !
Thanks !
I'd give it 5/10 based on that it was kinda fun but nothing memorabl. The very definition of a middle of the road kind of game. Don't expect too much but if you liike Duke, don't be afraid to pick it up...more or less :)
I played the PC version though, so i don't know anything about performance issues. It ran at a steady 60 fps constantly with everything set on Ultra.
As you guys have said, nothing awful but nothing special either.
It's like the problem Sega still has making their Sonic games.
Got some dyslexic devs working on this.
Looks like an HD remix of an Xbox 1 game.
You can't blame Gearbox. They did what they had to do: release the game to compensate for the costs. 3DRealms made a mess of the game. There are only 2 things Gearbox could have done: finish and release it or throw it in the garbage bin. Maybe the latter would have been the best choice in terms of quality. Maybe if sales are good, Gearbox can make a true new Duke Nukem.
The game's in no state to be released if the console demo's anything to go by..something now backed up by the reviews of the full retail. And if you're offered something so shoddy and frankly broken then its doubful that another title using the Duke name is going to sell in the millions.
Gearbox should have cut their loses with this..rather than adding to them, as i cant see this one selling well at all.

The game doing well in UK - number one this week. I want to hear some numbers after 2-3 weeks. As i expected - no matter how shitty is, the game will sell well just because the box art say DUKE. :P
I knew it was going to blow, but lol at the hate and the comments here.
I'm happy for one thing - i can't buy games blindly as most of the people do.
I bet you will hate it aswell. Just play 2-3hrs of this turd and came here again lol.
I will just wait for Rage as my upcoming FPS.
Loved Duke Nukem 3D when i was 10-11 years old kid. It was funny as hell. Sorry but the ''new'' one is different. It's a mess of a game - it's not even a oldschool because you can see that they have stealed fuckload of things from all new shooters around. The final result is not good, sadly.
