GSY Video PS4

Sony finally sent us the files from the captures we did 6 days ago at E3, with direct feed gameplay for Gran Turismo Sport and Knack 2. Since his best enemy Forza 7 is clearly quite popular current on the track, we'll start with this lap of the Dragon Trailer circuit on board of a Audi R8 LMS. No HDR here, nothing we can do about that.

It could be wrong, but isn't the environment running at a lower framerate than the track?
what do you mean? It looks like a pretty consistent 60fps.

Not really lied, Sony had the great idea to offer direct capture with some Ninja Inferno on some games, but unlike Microsoft, they did not allow us to record using our SSDs, so we had to make an appointment to record, then record while playing, and then they send us the link to the files (more than 40 GB files...).

But as we did not get any email in days, we thought we'll never get those videos.

Gameplay footage the Achilles' heel of gts. It looks so average, I am sorry if some people get offended, but it does. I hope they will improve it , somewhat .

Average compared to what? GT has always been one of the best looking racing games hands down. Cars look phenomenal.

Compared to just about every similar racing game. The last really impressive gt was gt3 . Anyway this looks bad so not worth arguing about it too much, it's evident to everybody who isn't a diehard Sony fan , oh and forza 7 looks like a generation above it. Stick to posting replays guys.

I think the 2 studios aren't really the same size, which might partly explain the time they take.

Visuals are pretty disappointing in my opinion. Forza 7 is definitely the better looking game. Actually I think Forza 6 beats this

i'll predict it'll sell more than double whatever forza 7 sells, in which case it won't matter. people keep complaining about GT, but things won't change if you keep buying the fucking thing. lol

That's simply impossible.

i'm not sure it is. i mean, i've not seen it done with distant background geometry before, and i imagine it would be incredibly distracting. but take halo 5 for example. distant enemies run at 30fps to save processing. they only switch to 60 when you get closer.

Forza does run rear mirror and reflections at 30fps if I remember correctly.

base line forza 7? i think this beats it visually, the lighting remains PD's strong point. forza 7 running on xbonx though? i'd say that takes it, although daylight lighting still looks off to me. they're all getting really samey looking though, and as with all games, overcast/wet is where they all look best. driveclub is still the one to beat in that regard though.

Yeah, on Xbox X. Here, car models look great... but I see a big gap between them and the rest. Not sure if it's the video but it does look pretty inconsistent visually.

For lightning, We'd need to compare both with HDR I believe.

HDR can only buff what is there to begin with. And PD are the kings when it comes to lighting. That and replays/trailers is where they outshine the competition. Car models have just reached a point of deminished returns imo but again, its an area where PD shine. But they're all pushing similar amounts of polys and they all look amazing. Environments...its a toss up. They both do things well but arent very consistent. GT sport wise willows springs is the nicest track i've seen personally. But then on the other side of the coin it also has the tokyo expressway track which is probably authentic but its also bland as hell. Lol.
