Xbox 360

Except for some not so great screenshots here and there we knew until now next to nothing about Just Cause, the third person shooter from Eidos. So it's with great pleasure that I show you the first part of a long presentation of the game, done with a work-in-progress 360 version. Prepare to be impressed.

Let's recap first. Just Cause let's you play the role of an american special agent, with the mission to bring peace in a country composed of islands. Yes, all by himself. It doesn't seem that incredible, but keep in mind that the country is big, *really* big. Just Cause also uses a non-linear mission system like GTA3, which is good since there are many of them. And the very nice fact is that your character can do some pretty awesome and completely unrealistic things. He's not a super-hero, but some of the stuff he can do is borderline crazy. This is one of our biggest surprise for this E3.
As mentioned before, this is still a very much work-in-progress version requiring a lot of polishing. The pop-in/clipping/shadowing issues will of course be fixed in the final version.
Update: A big "thanks" to Mark of XFERLA.com, who provides us a pretty strong server to host the video. If you have issues to download the file from the USA, this mirror should come in handy !

it finally seems that developers are knowing what the people want no more crappy games but much better executed and thoughts over games, this is one of them.

This looks really awesome! Throw in the huge island and its even better. I guess some of the bloom comes from being filmed by a cam.

Crackdown + Just Cause for your annual GTA-mayhem needs. Saint's Row looks like fluffy monkeybutt. "We have hoes, and pimps, and hoes...and pimps with canes!" Screw that shit, I wanna kick cars and basejump from moving vehicles.

Wow, finally watched this all the way through thinking I had seen this on another site but this is WAY better than it looked before. The grappling hook/parachute combo looks insanely fun and the size of that map is crazy aswell.

Release date: September.

And no, it's not my camera: the game is very bloomy and color saturated.
