Video Xbox 360

Snoopers uploaded this new video of Forza Motorsport 3, looking quite good. 60 fps videos will be uploaded in the next few days. Encoding these from the showfloor is simply too much work.

This time- I'm still impressed by the graphics- still very impressed with the sound... but I gotta say I'm impressed by the driving! That guy must play Forza- he showed a LOT of restraint on those corners- an arcade gamer would have eaten every wall in the game. He did pretty great without the guide line turned on!

Woot! Best video I've seen of this game thus far I think, very well shot for being off the screen, guys know what you are doing. I also liked the different views showed, a bit of everything here.

I don't know what Ketmach is talking about good driving though, that guy sucks ass. He's crashing with all assists on.

So how about some impressions snoopers, blim?

EDIT: Am I the only one who notices how deserted the tracks are? Aside from the cars, there is nothing going on. Not a single person on the stands or sides of tracks, no flags, nothing. I hope they do this by October.

I saw "Use the BACK button to rewind the race" during the video... You know, I thought adding the brake assist lines was a step in the wrong direction, but this right here is a full leap. Racing sims should be strictly that--if you can't drive, get out!

There aren't enough inherently challenging games these days. You know, games you can feel proud to be able to play. Knowing there are kids out there with training wheels on takes away from the enjoyment for me.

Wow. It's not changing the game for those of us who want more of a simulation.

It can be turned off. Just like the other assists.
Secondly, if you really feel proud because you are able to play ANY game, no matter how hard it is, its quite pathetic tbh :P :P

And here's my $60 question: will there be offline splitscreen racing?? I KNOW I'm not alone in this. A lot of us gamers just don't play online. We have friends over to hang out and play games. So it pisses me off when developers do away with offline multiplayer (Burnout, Forza...).

Whether Forza or GT5 look better I'm not gonna waste my time caring that much, the important part is that this will be some of the best graphics with THE best sim gameplay on the market. Forza 3 looks to be the racing sim of this gen for sure. Cannot wait to play this masterpiece.

I am not as impressed as you guys. This map bores me since it mainly has mountains for scenery. The other racing games left me with my mouth hanging open--some of the city maps look crazy.

I hate city tracks. Sure the scenery looks nice but when you race around a city track it feels like youre just driving around a loop. With proper race tracks like Spa, Nurburgring or even the fictional maple valley in forza it actually feels like your going somewhere instead of driving around a loop(even though you are driving around one).

basically imho:

elevation changes, fast sweeping open track > Canyon(tall buildings create an effect where it feels like a canyon), 90 degree turns, tight hairpins

The graphics look very good, although a little bit uhm .. "cartoony" as the lighting/colors are a bit overdone, still that style looks very good to me, but..

Where is the damage model, wasn't that always Forzas strong point? (notice how he just bumps off the wall at 1:31 after an impact with over 70mph and is unharmed at the end) Is this some sort of arcade mode without damage and with being able to drive through gras with full speed (and slow AI enemies)?

I certainly hope there is a more unforgiving mode available.

They turn off simulation damage at a conference like E3. Otherwise people will never be able to finish a full race.

Does anyone know if the Hockenheim-Ring will be in Forza3? I was driving the Nurburgring-Nordschleife last Sunday and Monday and it helped so much to have driven it in games like Forza and PGR.

I will drive the Hockenheim GP-Track at some point and I need some practice before that, so it would be a great help to have it in Forza. I know it's in the F1 game on the ps3, but that game was actually the reason why I bought the ps3 and sold it again...

Yea I don't get the connection... or how a game that hasn't been announced will be out before a game that already is.

the way things are going, it's almost likely. PD will announce that they don't recognize no competition and they will re-launch all their games backwards.
Because they're so good.

Yeah, he only crashed every third corner and left the track for half of the time and mainly because he wanted to cool his tires on the cold grass. Seriously, where do you see good driving in this?
