Definitely the star of the show for me as a diehard splinter cell fan. I'm a little unsure of the direction they're taking with this game, but I trust they'll do a good job.

One thing that keeps nagging at me, though, is that they've got that ass from the Rainbow Six team onboard as the creative director. The new Mark and Execute feature is a hell of a lot like the tagging feature in R6 Vegas, except that it's a bit more cool and you're the one doing it. Idk. He unsettles me with his presence. Not sure if I like how fast Fisher navigates the environment, either, he scampers along pipes and window ledges like a freaking monkey.

good to see sam back and kicking ass

i know what you mean DJ, you look back on the splintercells and it is all about super stealth and all..whereas these trailers showcase something different.

i guess it's all turned into a revenge tale now

The projected memories, locations and options were utterly astonishing. This gen has been amazing for innovations in UI design (eg. DIRT, Dead Space) and I'm loving it.

I don't know about this game. The trailer was full of CGI. So nothing can be said about that.

The other gameplay video looks quite interesting. But too soon to tell for me if it's a must buy or not. Still a waiting game for now.

Absolutely stunning. Ubisoft definitely made the right choice in taking this back to the drawing board, as it now looks fantastic.

'looks' very cool, not sure about the whole queueing up targets thing...it looks very automated to me. and it wouldnt surprise me if that was the case tbh,

ubisoft have a habbit of taking control away from the player as much as possibly, case in point, POP and it's almost QTE like platforming and combat, and assassins creed where you could leap across rooftops by just holding a button.

It was just a couple of actions at a time though it seemed, if they make you earn those moments then it will be just fine.

The demo looked fantastic. The pacing was spot on! I actually like this direction. It still has that Splinter Cell feel, but with a different pacing. After seeing it 2 years ago, I pretty gave up on the franchise. Now, I can actually see this turning out to be something memorable.

Maybe it's just the "e3 high" talking, but that really looked amazing!

They said you don't have to do all that stuff if you don't want to. You can play it regularly as well.

This.Looked.Awesome.

I'm super pleased at the direction it's going.

Actually, THIS is what is gaming all about. definitely leaves Alan Wake behind. if that thug smashing in bathroom scene is not a cutscene then its the best showing microsoft has this e3.

^ in the demonstration, the thug interrogation part seemed controllable as the guy would drag him from on side of the room to the other...

Perhaps I should have elaborated and said "This game looks ridiculous"

They've completely bent over Sam Fisher and pounded him in the ass, un-fuck-believable.

Thanks UBI for ruining probably one of the only game series I looked forward to, and replaced it with yet another action packed gimmicky fuck fest for every gun happy 13 year old to gun through in 2 hours.

P.S. Fuck you.

Yeah we must have a new employee who's censorship happy...

I'll elaborate as well, Ubisoft has ruined the Splinter Cell series, any change to gameplay mechanics this drastic can no longer qualify the game as part of the series.
Yes you don't have to 'use' the features, but they're there, that's all that's needed to make this game no longer the game it was meant to be, nor has been.

That would be like adding a rocket launcher to Super Mario Bros., no you don't have to use it, but it's there changing the game style into something completely different.
Yes it will draw new comers to the game at the cost of raping something that was uniquely great.

No matter how you try to justify it, this is a big up-yours to any fan of the series.

I said ridiculous meaning it looks really good.

This is no worse than the new control schemes for RE5.

The game looks like it has the same gameplay and features. I don't see how it's abandoning anyone

The whole time all i could think was, "I'll take this over Metal gear any day". The over the top stories and characters I'll leave to the kiddies, this is the type of game I find the most fun to PLAY. Then again, I was probably one of the only ones who could care less about Metal Gear coming to 360. that whole "megaton" was something I could care less about.

Glad to see the hard work on the new Splinter Cell seems to be really paying off. Gameplay and atmosphere looks very promising. I can see this bringing the franchise back to glory.
