The Chinese Room and Sony are aiming a Summer 2015 release for Everybody's Gone to the Rapture and along that news comes these new screenshots, no trailer here as it's not available in HQ. You can also listen to a track of the game's score here.
Looks great, but the fact that it's The Chinese Room makes me VERY sceptical about the game aspect. Machine for Pigs wasn't even half the game Amnesia was and i haven't played their walking sim, but it seems to be woefully lacking as well. Hmm.

if you mean dear esther it got a hell of a lot of buzz back when it came out. and most people who had an open mind and accepted it wasn't a "game" loved it. i agree with machine for pigs, but then i'd say machine for pigs was better then frictionals Penumbra games...so...meh. who knows how it'll be. i'm excited to find out though.
Ok well i can't agree there, Penumbra Black Plague is a LOT better than Machine for pigs imo. Black plague is the only one i consider a full game, where the first one was more of a tech-demo and the third expansion thing was just a bunch of puzzles and little else.
Yeah i meant Dear Esther, but then if it's not a game i don't see how it's worth talking about when games are discussed. It's the same as depression quest or something like that. If people enjoy it, that's fine but it's not really much of a game. Not sure what this is going to be but all the same, if it's just a walking-around sim like what i understand Dear Esther to be, then the graphics are inconsequential, because that's not what i'm looking for :)

As the title of the game suggests "Everybody's Gone to the Rapture", meaning they ascended into heaven leaving no one behind. I'm guessing you get to explore the world left as it was when everyone ascended into heaven.
