LA noire has the best wet road effects i've seen. Which is odd seeing as it's open world and it isnt a big feature of the game.
UC3 has the best water fx other then crysis.
This game is 30fps on consoles.
GT5 - FORZA4 are 60fps.
These two would look amazing at 30fps and look alot better then dirt/grid/f1 imo.

Looking forward to see the reviews.

At the most this is what you'd expect

which is a far cry from what the game is producing. Unless of course the track has become so wet it has turned into a lake...a very still lake.

as for the images you posed, they show the same thing as mine, loss of detail the further away the subject is from the reflective surface. that is not the case in the F1 game shots, it is a solid reflection. detail the same at the point the wheel hits tarmac to the point of the rear spoiler. reflections on wet tarmac does not work like that. the images you used show that. and the consistency of the reflection certainly wouldnt be like that of the game where distant cars reflections are just as prominent and clear as the cars close up. notice the first image you posted...
the second to last shot for this game is a far more believable, and more impressive reflective wet surface. the last image is a joke.

Real life but totally unrealistic....right?
i cant believe people are arguing saying "It's far too reflective" etc. depending on if the water is standing, if its raining, if someone has just driven through it....
besides, its how the game plays that matters
