What more could a single player gamer desire?
Cause I prefer games where I am able to decide on my own how to solve problems. Games which are non linear, where the AI is flexible and the gameplay is really interaktive. I hate the tendency of scripted, non gameplay tube games like Battlefield und Call of Duty.

Either way, can't wait.
Will give me time to see whats the more decent.
Yay for settings.
You can still love a game despite recognising some of the flaws (respawning checkpoints, malaria).
edit: Wow.. just looked at the metacritic score for FC2. 85. I'm legitimately surprised. Maybe I'll disregard the reviews entirely and wait for some actual impressions of the endgame.

I just don't get how people found any enjoyment from the world, the characters, the voice acting (that sounded sped up and had no pauses...ever), the travelling, the weapon jamming, the maleria, the repetative missions, the re-used locations, the respawning checkpoints, the retarded AI (that could see you snipe a guy from 10miles away in pitch darkness) the broken stealth (enemies scream so loud you may as well have shot them with a bazooka)
So awful, and yet an 85 on metacritic...how? I dunno. I rarely ever come across someone who likes the game, and it frequently tops peoples "worst games of he generation' lists...it's a conspiracy i tell ya!
I'll just lump it with perfect dark zero as complete freak occurances (somehow managed to get an 81 metacritic?)
Anyway, they know the most common complaints of an empty world, guard posts, and are working to improve that while keeping the stuff that worked like fire, day/night cycle, emergent gameplay, and sandbox design.
A game that's front loaded on the first ten hours will probably always do well with critics too. They're pretty easily fooled.
