Since someone asked nicely, here are both the Universe trailer present in the new Final Fantasy XV demo, along with the introduction we forgot last time, including the computer generated sequence introducing the main characters.

for the demo both low and high run at 30fps, its just the low version doesnt have framepacing issues like the high mode. it should be ironed out. The final game will have an unlocked framerate on the low mode up to 60fps

This goes to show you how awful frame pacing issues are. Almost everyone myself included thought low mode was higher framerate of 40-50 which turns out to be false.
They need to release on PC. This game is choking on consoles. The graphics engine is way too ambitious. The first screens and footage looked so much better than the current game.

I don't completely agree. This game looks much nicer on Pro and the first area is easily the worst looking area in the game, in my opinion. Even on PS4 the game looks much improved though compared to footage earlier this year. Some of the stuff in the initial footage looked more impressive, mainly the lighting and some of the vegetation. Overall though, I think the Pro footage holds up very well and has better IQ and AA than the game had before in any iteration I have seen.

I don't have a ps4, so I did not play it. But I remember being quite impressed when they showed first footage and screens after transforming the game into FFXV and moving it to ps4/xbone. It still looks good, but not as great as it did. I'm guessing they had to tone it down, because ps4/xbone couldn't handle it. And I mean, that's okay, you do what you have to make the engine run on the target hardware. Just saying, it could look so much better on PC.
I hated the Platinum demo so I wasn't gonna bother with the game. I had a JPN PSN way back to download FFVII Advent Children trailers. After Playing this demo I am definitely buying now. It runs so much better than before, the combat is fun, the game doesn't look that bad. I don't have a PS4 Pro but the game looks GREAT in HDR on my OLED tv.

I don't think this is strictly true...As I said, the foundations looked better in the previous iteration of the game, but being early it looked super rough. On the Pro it looks as good as any current open world game on the PC to me. It is still a very ambitious game. On the other hand, yes, it could look a lot more impressive if targetted at the top of the end PC, but unfortunately that isn't going to happen. A PC version will likely be released later, but they aren't going to reconstruct the game for the platforms. Needless to say though, it will still look stunning.

The game still looks good. I'm just curious about the capabilities of the engine. It would be nice to see it on PC. Are we just gonna get better AA and draw distance? Or maybe some more advanced options, like more light sources (because the game looks terrible flat sometimes). The engine powering FFXV is pretty damn nice, it would be awesome to see its full potential.

Agreed, it is a powerful engine and hopefully they do another game now that they have finally got it fit for purpose. I do think though that you will see the game looking much more impressive than this footage, given the summons, epic battles and much more interesting environments in the rest of the game.

You do realize this is a comedic sketch though, right? Yes, jrps are not for everyone but that doesn't make them all bad. In this video they basically skipped all the fights probably too enhance the comedic factor of nothing exciting happening in the game

I would just use the low setting, you get better frame rate at least. 40fps and above has always been the sweet spot for me.
