Video Wii PS2 PSP

Except for a few headlines today was a pretty calm day. To make it up before it's too late, here are nearly fifteen minutes of the E3 demo of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, the first episode of the sacred horror series to be released on Wii. Fan advice: take a look.

Noooes they hugged him to death!

Jokes aside, that looks really good. I've never played Silent Hill, but if I had a wii, I think I would try this.

I've been trying my best to drum up awareness of this, I think it looks absolutely excellent. Great to see it featured on the front page. :)

There, cue canned Wii hate. :)

I can't help but get the feeling that the wiimote does more to hinder you than to help. Looking around seems like a real bitch :P

Looks cool otherwise, though i have a really hard time swatting away that feeling of how it's the shittiest remake ever, even if i try. Still i'll never ever buy a wii so i guess it doesn't matter much ^^

If their goal was to make the game more cartoony and less scary then "mission accomplished" because I think this looks nothing like Silent Hill. Just look at a screen shot of Silent Hill 2 from 2001 and see how much better the lighting and texture work was.

I'm sorry, this series died after it left Japanese hands.

I'm a huge SH fan and this game sure looks awesome...the only thing i can't quite understand is the monster's design...they look so bland and uninspired, compared to SH1/2 or 3, for example.

the camera looks like it could seriously piss me off. other then that, i really want to try this! one thing i dont get though about the silent hill series though, how come every time one of these guys see's someone normal in this deserted town they are not surprised at all and they walk up to them all casual like you would to anyone else. if i saw someone in this town just sitting in an empty diner on an empty street, i would be freaked the fuck out.

'Cause usually the "nightmare" come right from their subconscious, so actually it's a bit like a dream, you don't get surprised from every anomaly, during a dream.

Its still a bad excuse never really explained for the sake of the argument. Silent Hill is a great franchise but I´m also tired of the way characters act sometimes. They never are really bothered about what happens around them, and tend to make stupid questions when they find other normal people. If you were beeing chased by abominations around a dark and abandoned city full of chasms and blood stains all around you Im sure you wouldn´t just say to that strange fella you find at a random place "hey, do you know whats going on? no? Ok byez".

The game tells great stories, but the dialogues are mostly plain STUPID.

I've recently been introduced to the wonderful music that Silent Hill has, but have never played any of the games and probably never will. The "pants pooper" genre is something I tend to steer clear from.

The Silent Hill franchise is pretty much dead and buried and we should pay our respects to the departed by NOT releasing crappy remakes.

You may have a point on: SH0/1/3/4.
cause there, the main character roam in someone other's dream(nightmare). But in SH2/homecoming/ShatteredMemories, you live in your own nightmare, generated from your own delusion...it's like a Lynch movie, say: Inland Empire...you don't rant about realistic reaction in Inland Empire, do you? :D...

@Cloud: 1)Not a remake-- 2)How do you know, it will be crappy?
