Video PS4 Xbox One Xbox 360 PS3

Co-producer Sean Eyestone comments a night mission walkthrough from Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes in this 15 minutes long video. Additionally, after the Sony's Deja Vu exclusive mission, Konami has announced Jamais Vu, an exclusive mission for Microsoft where players will control Raiden. The game-prologue to The Phantom of Pain will be out on March 18 on PS3, Xbox 360 for $30 ($20 digitally) and PS4, Xbox One for $40 ($30 digitally). Retail versions are supposed to get more content which will be revealed soon.

Nothing is what it seems… classic foes meet modern hero as KONAMI details exclusive ‘Jamais Vu’ mission

Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. has announced an exclusive ‘Jamais Vu’ mission for its eagerly-awaited METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES title for Microsoft’s Xbox One® and Xbox 360® video game entertainment systems. The format-exclusive content will add a new dimension to the game’s stealth content, introducing the METAL GEAR SOLID series’ cybernetically-augmented mercenary, Raiden, to the game’s prison setting.

The exclusive mission is set within METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES’ Cuban containment camp, and becomes available once certain conditions are met. The mission begins with Raiden charged with investigating an alleged biorobotic incursion, and dropped on the periphery of the camp. Thus, the augmented hero must gain access and secure firm evidence of the “bioroid” presence – dubbed ‘Snatchers’ by the intelligence group. The Snatchers, while externally disguised as marines, produce an inhuman X-Ray when tagged using the game’s marking system. Raiden must locate and eliminate the imposters while evading capture by the unaware humans charged with guarding the base.

The new Microsoft content marks the return of Hideo Kojima’s classic 1988 ’SNATCHER’ universe. The eponymous Snatchers featured in an MSX title followed the release of the first METAL GEAR, and was set in the futuristic city of Neo Kobe, where the mysterious beings were infiltrating society by killing people and assuming their identities. 26 years after its release, SNATCHER still enjoys a huge level of interest among fans.

The ‘Jamais Vu’ mission begins with Snake and his cybernetic ally being briefed, before Raiden – forgoing his famed Katana blade – jumps into the camp. Raiden has been chosen for this mission not only for his superhuman abilities, but also because, unlike Snake, he lacks a human body to snatch.

The mission will be integrated within both digital and boxed versions, and reintroduces Raiden to the stealth-orientated themes of the METAL GEAR SOLID universe.

The exclusive ‘Jamais Vu’ content is showcased in a specially-created one-minute trailer, detailing Raiden’s mission to defeat the Snatcher invasion, while a 14-minute demonstration movie of the Xbox One version of METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES shows incredible level of detail and shares AI and other feature advances.

METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES acts as a prequel to events in the forthcoming METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN. The game introduces a new open-world environment to the series, alongside changing day and night environments, changing weather elements, and extensive AI advances. The game will be available in retail stores nationwide on current generation systems for £29.99 or via download for £19.99. Xbox One and PlayStation®4 versions will be made available in retail stores for £39.99 or can be downloaded for £29.99.

Old gameplay videos, but good nontheless with good quality.
Depends how long it is, content and the price for me to get it.

Which one is the "real" new MGS? Phantom Pain?

Also Raiden with a gun is dumb especially after what he could do in Rising (which was alright).
But meh, for me the main character i want to focus on is Big Boss than anyone else so i am content with that.

I like to say I won't buy this because it is just wrong to charge gamers more for the next gen version, when next gen version games costs the same as current gen version. I like to say what makes this worse, it's just the digital version, and you're still paying more. But to be honest, I'm way too much of a Metal Gear Solid fanboy (I know, my avatar is a dead giveaway) for me not to buy this game. I'm sooooo getting this on day #1.

However..I do feel it's wrong to pay basically $80 for just a complete retail/non collector's editiion version of a game.

Sticking with the other one then, if any.

I'm also a hardcore fan of MGS, but the way they're selling this game is questionable to say the least. £29.99/€29.99 for a digital version of a prologue is a very steep price (unless of course it turns out to be huge and contain at least 20h of gameplay). System specific bonuses also piss me off, because you don't have to be Nostradamus to foresee that they're gonna sell the Classic Snake missions to Xbox players and Raiden missions to Playstation players shortly after release...

I'll wait for a complete package with both, because i refuse to pay £39.99 for a prologue.

The price is too much for me too, a bundle pack should be good for reasonable price when time comes.

I don't know why you're whining that extra bling has to come at a cost it's not like the consoles cost more ........wait a minute........ what am I paying for then.

It's like charging me extra for a game because I have a more powerful graphics card. If it wasn't done on PC why should consoles especially when we are already being robbed by current prices.

Yeah, all that extra bling! i.E. An increased resolution, which Kojima has said himself is the only difference between previous gen and current gen. they're putting no extra effort in, and expecting us to pay MORE for it...and digital no less, a media which should fucking well be CHEAPER! It's BS, they know it, we know it...morons will still buy it.

I agree. It pisses me off too, but it's like cigarette comapneies jacking up the prices to over $7 per pack. Folks will still buy it regardless. I'm gonna buy this, and a collector's edition (if they release one) for The Phantom Pain.
