BIG THANKS Gamersyde for sharing this. RE2 was one of the best E3 "surprises" The game looks even better than I could never imagine, and can´t wait to play it.
The version here at Gamersyde may only be at 1080p, but has 29,871 bitrate with a 1.19 GB size. The one in the Resident Evil official channel is at 2160p, but has only 8,940 bitrate with a 356 MB size.
Needless to say which version has a far superior quality. Resolution means nothing if the quality is degraded to the point that even a lower resolution with proper quality is better.
It's really stupid.
"The chances of a human bitten by a t-Virus carrier (specifically a zombie) to be infected was 90% in the 1980s..."
https://residentevil.wikia.com/wiki/T-Virus_infect...
So you can think of it as every time someone is bitten, they are either immune or have gotten lucky as hell. It's silly, but in the end it's just a game.
1) The virus in the games' universe is called "t-Virus", "T-Virus" is from other mediums;
2) Not every "zombie" in Resident Evil was created by the t-Virus;
3) Using the term "zombie" to label the infected in Resident Evil is incorrect, as no virus in Resident Evil lore - that I know of - is capable of reanimating dead tissue. The developers themselves have said so in interviews and in official guides/facts books.
Not everybody in the world has played Resident Evil. Not even most gamers have played Resident Evil. Let alone a specific game in the franchise, because depending of the game, you will be dealing with an entirely new viru)es). So it's foolish to assume everybody should know things about certain games' lore.
As for Resident Evil lore, there are so many viruses in Resident Evil's lore (gaming and other mediums) that is hard to keep track of even if someone cared to do so - I don't, almost no one does.
There are 34... fucking 34 notable viruses in Resident Evil! Not all, just the notable ones. Just for fun, I will list them all:
- "The Abyss";
- "Ancient virus";
- Anti-virus - The only compound capable of purging the T-virus.;
- Clay virus;
- Ebola virus;
- Immortality Virus;
- "Marburg virus";
- MS-Virus;
- Norovirus;
- Poliovirus;
- Progenitor;
- Progenitor - The Makino universe equivalent.;
- Prototype Virus - A Progenitor variant used to augment the Wesker Children.;
- SARS coronavirus;
- t-Virus;
- T-JCCC203 - A modified t-Virus used as an experimental medicine, which resulted in "Dorothy".;
- T-virus - The Anderson universe equivalent.;
- T-virus - The WildStorm universe equivalent.;
- T-virus - The Perry universe equivalent.;
- Neo-t - A virus developed by Mylene Beardsley before the development of the G-virus.;
- t-Veronica virus - A variant of Progenitor created by augmenting its genome with that of the ancient virus.;
- "t+G" - A t-Virus variant created by exposing it to G antibodies.
- t-Abyss - A t-Virus variant created by TRICELL alongside the FBC, combining "The Abyss" virus and the t-Virus.;
- t-Phobos;
- A-Virus;
- G-Virus;
- G-Virus - The WildStorm universe equivalent.;
- G-Virus - The King's Foundation universe equivalent.;
- Uroboros;
- C-Virus;
- C-Virus - The Liberty universe equivalent.;
- Cameron Virus;
- X-virus.

Just the Progenitor virus alone was formely called "Clay Virus" and has 2 variations as well, "Type-A" and "Type-B". Add to that the fact that many things are changed in later games by the developers. While other facts are changed, but only mentioned in guides, books or movies.
All of which creates many discrepancies in the lore - like Raccoon City being "hit with a non-nuclear warhead" first, changed to "hit by a barrage of missiles" later, and then changed again this time to "nuclear missile".
To add to all that shit, you also need to remember who is who, which scientist did what, executives, events, family ties, companies, timeline, etc. All of which change at the developers' whim and isn't always in the games. It's a fucking convoluted mess!
I love Resident Evil - the same way I love Kingdom Hearts, but these games are unecessarily convoluted. I'd argue even the most passionate Resident Evil fans don't know all this stuff, since they argue a lot on what did and didn't happen, order of events and the interpretation of certain things.
Lastly, people play thousands of games, watch thousands of movies and TV shows, read hundreds of books, etc. All with their own stories, characters, locations, events and lore.
No one can remember every detail of every franchise they experienced. Specially after many years. It's foolish and unfair to expect people to.

I dunno. What is it with people on here having mental breakdowns over innocuous comments?
Anyway, before you nerded out there and wrote a wikipedia page on the subject, this is RE 2, more pertinently and directly connected to the events of RE1 and not the rest of the shite that followed, so in the words of the devs themselves, these are indeed your classic "T-Virus ZOMBIES!" So...

If this game does well, we could even get a remake of 3. Code Veronica was where it already started to get way too zany though with that ridiculous jester like villain (well he sure sounded like a clown anyway when he spoke).
Comedy kinda kills horror.

Its the exact same thing with Onimusha 3 and 2 for me. I would rather a stunning looking game that looks great for the hardware its on with prerendered backgrounds over a 3D game that ends up looking nowhere near as good as the previous game....... and in the case of CV, it was a "next gen" game over RE3.
And what the hell was up with the way Claire looked and was animated in that game? It was a step back, she looked weird as hell and lanky too. It definitely was the RE B team that made it.
And damn I hated that Steve character too and was even more confused when Claire actually cried for that little shit towards the end. It was almost as big a character assassination as what they did to Jill in RE5....................... I take it back lol.
