Ubisoft has released some new images of Assassin's Creed 2, finally showing some new envrionments. Considering the demo that was shown on the showfloor was the same one than at E3, it's probably the only thing new we'll see here in Cologne.
Looking good but I recently saw game play video over at GT and I have to admit that the combat is still broken as hell as it was in the first one.
I just hope they structured and changed the information gathering part.
Looks cool, hopefully they will fix the repeated missions from the first one and add more variety and don't give us long boring chores.
I don't trust anything what Ubisoft says about this game because as soon as they open their mouths they start trying to hype their games up, sorry Ubisoft, AC1, Far cry 2, PoP...ain't gonna work on me this time nor the future.
The only franchise they have me in is AC, and even that I am more aware now.

You mean his enunciactions, his spelling is fine, it's his grammar that's flawed, he uses way to many run on sentences (comma's are your friend), however where not here for English, I still could make out what he was stating and to that end I side with you, for a game mechanic to be flawed it has to make mistakes or contain errors but AC combat doesn't it's a new and thus refreshing take on the all to oftenly used button mashing philosophy.
So you think one assassin should be able to take on about 100 guards at the same time and beat them all… - I did that in AC, there is a camp near Damascus where you can find tons of guards and beat them to a bloody bulb.
If that is your definition of “perfect” then I feel sorry for you.
The combat in AC lacks everything, you just need to block and start a counter attack that will instant kill any target… wow…
And btw. neither is there a spelling mistake in broken nor is it unusually to use it in this context my grammar might not be perfect but I'm not a native speaker so fuck you.

My take on the combat is that, I LOVED it.
The counter attacks are one of the best I have seen, such a impact, so deadly and digusting, very nice job.
The combat is all about timing and countering your enemy and watching out for a opening, not that you mash the buttons and expect to kill them stylishly if it was NG or DMC or something of that sort.
The great news is that now you can wield so many variations of weapons, some designs to weapons types.
I loved the first one so I'm really looking forward to this. And as pretty much everything else of interest (aside from Uncharted 2) has been pushed to 2010, it really had better be as good to play as it is to look at...
My bad! Didn't mean to be pedantic in any way... It's just an expression, your post was fine. It's just that I thought AC's combat was marvelous and refreshing.
Does anyone know what the reserve Gamestop map is and when, if at anytime, would we be able to get it if we don't reserve? These kinds of reserve deals need to stop. Same goes for the Batman: AA free Scarecrow map.
