Here we are finally at the Gamescom press room with a good internet connection, so let's start the video flood with the Rise of the Tomb Raider gameplay from Microsoft's press conference.
Yeah some direct feeds would be nice. Well anyway it's nice to see some different areas for a change. Also good to see that all of the old weapons are back, maybe they'll be a couple new ones.
This game feels less like a sequel and more like a second attempt at a reboot. It's SO similar to the last game, i mean you could splice that stuff from the stage demo into a trailer for the first game and you'd be non the wiser. Character wise she doesn't seem to have developed much and even graphically it looks like the definitive edition (ie a cross gen engine) The fact you're still stuck upgrading all those basic weapons all over again just seems weird to me. Did lara learn nothing about visiting creepy islands and not coming prepared?
Saying all that i am going to play it still and i'm sure it'll be fun
Is that on Xbox One or once again on a PC that is hidden under something with a Xbox logo?
Hopefully with the extra time for the PC release it will be a super smooth DX12 title, no doubts about pre-order with how well the last one was working.
