Images Xbox 360

Microsoft released a few images of Fable 3 showing some rather dark and claustrophobic environments. If you look very closely, you can even see Obi Wan Kenobi hiding in one of them.

That guy at screen 6 look like Anakin Skywalker.

It does look like the animated Star Wars Anakin and Obi-Wan.

I actually thought that's what it was at first.

Look like Fable and i like it)

Some news:
Molyneux’s just dropped a mega-quote with Natal for Fable III at GDC, saying the motion camera for the game will be “wonderfully adaptive”.

He just said during his session for the RPG:

“Natal is wonderfully adaptive to this experience. I can’t give you specifics, but it’s been a real joy to put some Natal stuff in there.”

I love Fable...

Just give me anything other than space Fable and I'll buy it, play it, replay it and love it. Just no Space Fable.

Shame it wont look anywhere near as nice as that last pic during the gameplay.

I liked Fable2..though the menu system was painfully cumbersome, and the online worthless. And i loved the first Fable. But i really can't say i'm at all excited about this.

The whole "touch" system seems completely overhyped to me, and could end up as annoying as leading people to safty was in Dead rising.
Obviously it's one way to stick Natal in there.. but i'd much rather Lionhead bring us a Natal supported Black&White rather than forcing it into Fable.

I'd really like to see a Fable game with more references to fable's in it. Give us some Giants!

I'm glad they're improving the horrible map and menus from Fable II. We now get a "virtual space" for the pause menu, complete with butler and changing room.

Combat is still the big question for me, as Fable II felt like a step back from the first game in that respect. If they can tighten it up (seriously, just give me a block button), then maybe I'll give this a shot.

I am not impressed with these images at all. It doesn't look to be using the hardware properly. I was tolerant of Fable II's visuals, but this is two years later. I don't see the improvement over the original Xbox Fable game, which I think had a better art direction.

Looks like arse, maybe this is what to expect from Natal games since Microsoft gimped it into using the 360 CPU instead of a seperate processor?

No. Most games for the consoles don't use more than 50%-60% of CPU utilization, so you couldn't blame the graphics on Natal. It probably looks that way because it's still in it's early stages.

Lionhead will clean it up in time.

As I'm currently playing through FF13 my standards for background art and character modelling is rather high... as a result, these shots fail to impress.

Could never get into Fable after playing Elder Scrolls. The game just seems too linear to me and you can't go into the grass and such..like wtf.

@moroboshi: background art doesn't mean much when you can't go there (a la FF13). That might've worked on the PSX, or even PS2, but this is PS3/Xbox360 and we're still confined to a linear path? :/ Might as well have random encounters.

I'm currently playing FFXIII (right after finishing up Lost Odyssey), and so far, disappointing.

ps: Fable 3 looks ok. I haven't seen anything that really wows me yet. No "moment" :P

Oh I agree completely about FF13 being ridiculously linear (and simplified). It's a pretty dull game to be frank, but the visuals are absolutely stunning. I also hate the US dubbing, it drives me nuts.

Lost Odyssey is the king of JRPGs this gen.

looks like theres gonna be a PC version...and it's aiming to allow 360 and pc gamers to play together...which on the one hand is pretty cool...on the other hand, i don't know how i'd feel playing the same game against somebody who A. got that game £10 cheaper. B. Is playing it online with no addional costs......oh and C. having his only console be a PS3 and take delight in telling me how the 360 have no exclusives.

Only so long i could put up with that before moving back onto Alan Wake
