Images PC Xbox 360 PS3

Rockstar released 10 new images of Grand Theft Auto V, which will ship on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013. No doubt the game will ease the wait until the arrival of next gen consoles.

I think it looks TOO good tbh. Unless the game has perfect DOF, motion blur and abslutely no aliasing what so ever. I'd say these where super sampled. Would love for this to have a next gen announcement at E3 so it could look closer to whats on show in these images, but that's probably wishful thinking. It's pre-ordered anyway. Even though i'm kinda done with this R* open world templete they keep using. I'm hoping the 3 character dealio makes it interesting again.

I would love to see some gameplay series videos with commentary like RDR ones. But knowing it's GTA, we probably won't see gameplay before release (hell, first gameplay footage of IV was not official, but from early leaked version lol).

Man come on. Even if this doesn't represent what we will see on screen how can you no be impressed. We're looking at screens from a massively open world with endless gameplay details. Not that I needed convincing but I think Bioshock and Dishonored prove it's all about atmosphere and art direction.

I think the same can be said for BF4. The look and tone in the single player footage was amazing. Especially when compared to a COD or MOH.

So much talent in R*. If they are producing games that look this good with all the lovely tech that goes with it, then what will they be doing on a new engine built from the ground up for the new hardware? I can't wait to find out.

I'd say that it looks really good, but after playing Sleeping Dogs ON CONSOLE EVEN i'd say that the game is a bit plain, maybe lighting and detail? I remenber being in awe when i saw wen shei textures, facial detail, bump-mapping, lighting reflecting on the clothes when he is in his crib every single time. Those guys sure know how to make a solid "up to the tech developments" engine. i hope that more visual tech goes into GTA IV, and not just their attention to detail, simulation and animation... i don't want another blurry, low fps game.

Rockstar shoulda bought UGF when they could.

I'm not sure what screenshots you guys are looking at. It doesn't look bad, but it's most certainly not impressive in any way.

You need better eyes or a better screen. This has the same noisy, blurry shitty filter over it that GTA IV has. And even then, there's jaggies. The DoF and AA are both pretty lacking in these shots.

You know what, at first I was like shit, that looks a little to dressed up. Gotta be bullshot to some extent. I read your comment and relooked, yeah there's jaggies all over the place. Don't know if the filter you are talking about is the same one I see. It looks like they used some type of shit to get rid of those jaggies. Can't really explain it.

not that he is correct for throwing around these assumptions but both companies have a very strong reputation for creating "game of the year" titles. as beautiful and interesting as every other game coming out this year is these two are going to have huge sales numbers due to their reputation and will most likely get GOTY title for sales and most likely high review scores. but again it is just assumptions but the likelihood of it happening is pretty high so he doesn't exactly need to play it if you just look at the companies past titles.

You guys need some glasses or Lazik surgery. For an open world game of this caliber these screenshots look absolutely amazing ! Some of you are what's wrong with gaming culture, you make jaded graphic whores look reasonable.

This GTA V looks impressive if i think that it's running on Xbox360 (2005 hardware).
Rockstar Games, now, i want a new Red Dead Redemption for next-gen! :D

You have right. If we think about triangles, physics, lights, shadow, textures, animations, A.I.... and go on a real city living in real time. Absolutely fantastic!
