Halo 2: Anniversary is now available via Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC, as proven by the gameplay video we recorded to remind the oldest amongst you of the good old days. With Halo Reach and Halo: Combat Evolved, The PC version of the MCC now includes 3 games of the famous Xbox franchise, with more to be added in the months to come.

Only other series that need a remaster and then come to PC are Gears of War 2-3 + Judgement, as well as Forza Horizon 1-2. I've played them through Xbox, but for PC players who never did, they would be great additions. Forza Horizon has evolved, but each entry is like an Assassin's Creed game, with its own location and story. So would be cool to see that, specially Forza Horizon 2.
Did that happen to you guys? does it support surround sound?
From what I can tell, your video in raw format contains a 5.1 multi channel audio feed.
Some require very specific tinkering to work correctly. I haven't played any, just something I read constantly in comments. Like some people are pissed (understandably) that 343 Industries released Halo 2 not only without fixing the bugs in Halo 1, but even with some of the same bugs as well.
I already posted on the MCC subreddit, no luck so far.
- In-game audio plays while viewing terminal videos
- Cinematic audio for in Halo 2 and Halo 2: Anniversary is affected by different audio option
- When having multiple audio devices and swapping between classic and remastered graphics in cutscenes, audio can change output devices
- Audio is missing when reloading weapons when done quickly
- Primary weapon audio decreases if you are shooting while picking up a secondary weapon

Also, the below articles explain the bugs with much more detail:
"There are a large amount of bugs related to the campaign experience for Halo 2: Anniversary. From an audio perspective, in-game sound effects and music incorrectly play while viewing terminal cinematics. In addition to this, subtitles for cutscenes are out-of-sync with the audio being played, cutscenes are louder than they're supposed to be, cutscenes sometimes won't play audio, and the cinematic audio for Halo 2 and Halo 2: Anniversary are not properly configurable with sliders.
Also, switching between Halo 2 and Halo 2: Anniversary graphics while in-game can cause your audio output to swap between available devices. For example, audio may stop coming out of your headset and will instead play through your speakers. While swapping between these graphics, certain parts of the music playing may be skipped as well.
If you're using the Scarab Skull, multiple weapons also have missing weapon sounds. Lastly, on the level Metropolis, the level's soundtrack will loop incorrectly while riding the Scorpion tank across the bridge."

"In Halo 2 Anniversary you're able to switch between original Halo 2 graphics or the updated textures, but doing so can cause your audio output to swap between your available devices.
This means that audio may stop coming out of your headset and play through your PC speakers instead, which is also causing some playing music to skip altogether.
These audio glitches are also affecting weapons, causing multiple firearms to have missing sounds when firing.
The same audio issues with weapon effects and music from the campaign are also present in the multiplayer mode."

I hope this helps. If nothing works, try the Discord channels for Halo, Xbox or Microsoft. I once had an issue with Crackdown 3 and the administrator of the Xbox Discord channel helped me out real fast - really wish I could have given him a formal compliment, but didn't find any place to do so. The community will always help if they can, and chances are that some of them have had the same issue and have found a solution or workaround. Good luck.
I logged a ticket with: https://support.halowaypoint.com/
that's their answer and my reply for now:
Hello SpaceTachyon,
We have validated that the 5.1 and surround sound features are working normally for the latest build of Halo 2: Anniversary. Please verify your system settings are properly set up and try again.
Thanks,

Hi!
I just checked again this morning and Halo 2 Anniversary is the only one out of the 3 available games in the MCC at the moment that does not support multi channel audio. HALO CE and HALO reach are working as intended, proper support for 5.1 surround sound. I re-verified the integrity of the files, checked for any available update as well.
It is not a problem on my side or at my hardware or settings level, case in point, the other two work just fine, HALO CE and HALO Reach.
would you please get back to me with a possible fix in any upcoming patch? I won't be playing HALO 2 Anniversary in Stereo.
Thanks!
