Halo: The Master Chief Collection is almost complete now on PC as it has just welcome Halo 3: ODST. Without further ado, here is some 4K footage recorded during the first 2 missions of the game.
Halo 3 finally joined the PC version of Halo: The Master Chief Collection while I was away in Britany but now I am back home for a few days, I'm able to catch up. Here is some 4K footage of the game running at 60 frames per second. My only regret right now is that this version of the game doesn't support HDR whereas it's the case on Xbox One. Let's hope an update will be made available soon, in which case, we'll obviously be back with more gameplay videos.
Halo 2: Anniversary is now available via Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC, as proven by the gameplay video we recorded to remind the oldest amongst you of the good old days. With Halo Reach and Halo: Combat Evolved, The PC version of the MCC now includes 3 games of the famous Xbox franchise, with more to be added in the months to come.
To complete our PC coverage of Halo Reach, we chose to take you back to the 360 era back when it was only possible to play with a gamepad. Inside, you will find the first 20 minutes of the game played in the enhanced graphics mode in 4K/60fps. Though visually dated on some aspects, the port is very well done and this episode of the Halo franchise remains just as fun to play as it was before. With ODST, Reach is the only game in the series where you don't get to play as Master Chief, but the fans are thrilled to see it included in Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
Halo Reach is coming to the Master Chief Collection on Xbox One and for the first time on PC ! Free in the Gamepass or € 9.99 on the Microsoft Store and for the first time on Steam. The other episodes of the Halo series will arrive gradually on PC in the coming months.
Here's 3 videos in 4K of multi as well as part of a Campaign mission.
Many Halo fans have been eagerly waiting for the release of the 4K patch for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which has still no release date yet. Some of the hardcore fans have had access to the insider versions of 4 of the games (Halo CE, Halo 2, 3 and 4 - ODST is still not available but will be in time for launch) for a little while now, but now all insiders can download the collection and give it a go. Before you watch the videos we have prepared, remember it's still work-in-progress.
Halo 3: OSDT has indeed been added to Halo: The Master Chief Collection before the end of May. We've captured a few 1080p/60fps videos of the game that you'll find inside if you're curious to see what this new port looks like. We'll also add some multiplayer footage of the new map Remnant, which is actually the remastered version of the famous Relic.
Update: Two Remnant videos added.
Update 2: Last video added.
The Halo series is without a doubt the most iconic franchise on Microsoft's consoles since 2001, so when Halo: The Master Chief Collection is about to get released on Xbox One, it is definitely a big deal. Now is time to find out what Gamersyde thought of this historic collection. Unsurprisingly, the full review is only available in French, but the verdict and the +/- section have been fully translated into English. If it's not enough, make sure to check our avalanche of videos of all four games.
Since we posted direct feed videos of Halo: The Master Chief Collection a few hours ago, we didn't expect a lot of people to follow our livestream tonight, especially since we always follow the NDA rules, unlike others it seems. That being said, we still wanted to try out our own livestream system at 60 fps to see how it would hold up for you guys. Image quality is quite bad as we had to make compromises because our computer didn't handle it very well when using better quality settings. It shouldn't be an issue for too long as we have plans to buy a new PC dedicated to capture and livestreams. Anyhow, to make it up for the low quality of the replays (French and English), we've added two last videos of the campaign of Halo 2: Anniversary showing the second part of the Gravemind mission.
