Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary aside, Halo 4 is the first big original project Microsoft trusted 343 Industries with. Quite a challenge considering this will be the first new Halo game not developed by Bungie, which will clearly make fans even harder to please. Visually, today's images seem to indicate they are on the right track, though we should probably add a bit of aliasing to get a more accurate idea of what to expect in-game.

And the textures *blah*
And on visuals, I still think the original Halo looks gorgeous and Halo3's hdr blows me away still at times- Reach hdr was not quite as good i thought
As for the covenant there just a rag tag bunch left from the hyper jump, a whole new faction of enemies has already been confirmed.
Anyways, looks great and I am sure the experience for SP will be great as well. IMO I thought Halo Reach was the best Halo game I played with one step behind Halo 1, the rest, meh.
Also this image http://images.gamersyde.com/image_halo_4-18973-231... anyone think of Doom/Aliens? lol
Now can we see it? lol :(
I've regularly played Halo1 and it's very evidently the best to me but i keep on jumping back into the other games because in truth no other game plays as good when it comes to the dynamic combat
Yeah right. lol
And, of course, what Halo needs are the classic Halo weapons like the PR, PP and some old school covi vehicles (Ghosts, Wraith, Banshee).
Grunts ftw! We all love Grunts :p
I really really really really really hope they get the performance down in that engine. Especially coming from a PC focus, Reach ran like fucking GARBGE. Frequently dropped well below 30 frames a second, which should be totally unacceptable. The GI coverage has me relaly excited for this game though, it sounds like it is going in some really cool directions.
love the weapon quality (the look)
love the new MP armors
this is looking good
Yeah right. lol
Sure I could say the sandbox visuals and the colofull mayhem are reasons for all, but never the true detail in in-game gameplay meets the expectation of cutscenes and the late bullshots/theatre render. And there is no excuse, there are great looking games visually and that are pretty open-world and with lots of stuff going on (bad company 2).
sweet fucking god people be fucking patient.
And the textures *blah*
Just pointing out a fact.
