Sony and Sucker Punch, the creators of Sly Racoon, release three new images of InFamous, their free-roaming action game filled with super-powers, dark textures and scary lightnings. We can expect a kind of gloomy Crackdown, and it's planned to hit the streets somewhere in 2008.
Update: 720p versions added.

The graphics look amazing, but you just can't help but feel that they've been tampered with.
The textures do seem sharp and very detailed.
But to trust images that may or may not be bullshots (The AA), I will wait to see the Game in motion... it has potential to convey the crackdown lovers niche, and besides that, the Devs behind it made solid titles in the past(Sly Cooper Franchise).

the rest seems nice to me.
Could be good though... we'll see.
Game looks nice.. if pretty empty

But anyway its impossible to debate most of these people, so I generally don't even bother anymore.
Looks awesome though. Very crisp and smooth (although I'm sure that'll change. Still, won't be a big deal in motion). Been a while since I've seen tis game around.

Also, I suggest just not getting yourself involved with the GT userbase, their commenting style is almost as low as youtube commenters.
For the record, I am a happy owner of an Xbox 360 (of course I also own the PS3 and the Wii), and I have been looking forward to this game for quite some time. Sucker Punch has been one of the better devs out there, and it is so nice to see them do something other than Sly Cooper.
I caught the 10-page preview of this game in the latest Game Informer, and it looks hot. Anyone currently dogging on this game, should pick up the latest GI and give it a read, inFAMOUS is shaping up to be a stunning game - and that is just not fanboy fodder trying to hype up a game that does not deserve it - its the opinion of a gamer who has actually bothered to learn a little about an unreleased title, and got excited about what he saw.
I remember the good old days, when every new game was a reason to get excited about - no matter the genre or the console. Now everyone is so cynical. It's either you can only like console X or graphic card Y. Or the worst crime these days is how we are all supposed to unanimously agree about which unreleased games are going to be good and which are not, as if a person could really tell before actually putting their hand on a controller and playing the game.
Sheesh! As an audience, we have become a rather pretentious lot.
Come on, peeps. Lets all grow up a little here. I'm looking at the screens, I've read up on the game, and from where I am sitting, it looks good - so far. Maybe it won't turn out to be good when it ships, maybe it will. But either way, does that really give anyone the right to harsh on anyone else's mellow?
inFAMOUS is not due out until sometime next spring (most likely next summer), which is plenty of time to do good things with what is there. And based on what I have read so far, if Sucker Punch can manage to make their vision for this game come to fruition, we are potentially looking at one of the best titles for 2009.

Kaythxbye.
